Completed in 1919 the dam was the highest overflow dam in with a height of 225', & it's turbines were the largest in the world. Forms the Cheoah Lake known for fishing, and boating. Also known as the "Fugitive Dam" made famous by Harrison Ford's jump in the movie "The Fugitive".
