For the best views and hike, drive past Mt. Lake Campground and right past the airport. The Long Point trail offers 3.8 miles there and back with stunning views from the iconic Long Point. Meander through woods and meadow. The month of May and maybe early June offers rhododendrons blooming at their peak set against this backdrop for great photo op. After your hike, snap the postcard view of Long Point from the Mount Nebo side off WV Rt. 129, the Southside of the Lake.

Beautiful Hike on on public land, I would consider this a somewhat easy hike.

This is another long point trail that also ends on a large rock that overlooks the lake. This trail is about 2 miles. (2 miles in and 2 miles back) it is not flat. you will feel like you are going up hill both ways. I love this trail for exercise and views.
