For a drink and a meal just around the corner go to Ruis. The van der Helstplein is a very nice square, many families who live in the neighourhood go there on Sundays. Staff is very friendly, we are regulars ourselves!

it is a nice place to sit, especially outside. The food isn't great, but also not expensive.
