Museum dock is open to the public. Park and take a walk. You can park on main street or use the public parking lot tucked behind the Essex post office on the right or behind Essex Coffee which is closer to the museum.

Its small, but historic and worth the trip to explore, the best feature is sitting on the dock looking out at the river and the pretty sail boats that go by.
