Our place is newly built, behind a historic building, only metres from the beautiful Tokomaru Bay Beach. The facilities are all modern, with heat pump/air conditioning, acomodating 4 people with style, comfort and ease. One queen bed is in the lounge as a pull down/retractable and the second in a separate bedroom. Shower and toilet is an ensuite shared by all guests but accessed through the bedroom.
“Barry’s place was as described, with the added bonus of being able to hear and see the sea from the lounge. We ate out at the tavern, so didn’t use the cooking facilities but the kitchen was extremely well equipped. There was milk, butter and jam in the fridge, bread in the freezer and eggs for breakfast which was appreciated. The kitchen, lounge, diner was very spacious. The shower was hot and powerful. There was a friendly cat around, and the notes mentioned blocking off the cat flap if you aren’t cat people. Sky sports on the TV meant I could watch England beat Wales which was very enjoyable”
Water front idyllic upstairs location with beautiful view of Bay. Self contained spacious unit. Nearby swimming beach. 200 metres from Fishing Club.
“Bill & Nicola’s place was an amazing gem!! Incredible view, spectacular hospitality, great recommendations and such a great couple to converse with. Their spot had everything we needed & more. The location is secluded, quiet and beautiful.”
Beachside accommodation perfectly located for exploring the East Cape region, fishing Waihau Bay, or relaxing in an idyllic beachside setting in this beautiful bay. We are situated by the safe and sandy beach (pictured) considered to be perhaps the best in the East Cape area. After settling into your self-contained roomy apartment, relax – enjoy the fishing, amazing ocean views, or exploring the beach - then finish you day soaking up the spectacular sunsets of Waihau Bay.
“We stayed for one night as part of a trip around the East Cape. Meagan’s place is far enough from Opotiki to feel the trip has started - but is within a comfortable day’s drive of Tolaga Bay and beyond. It was lovely to sit on the deck with a cuppa and listen to the waves. Her directions were excellent.”
