It has been more than 145 years old and has been registered as a nationally registered tangible cultural property. In addition, the wooden building is a self-renovated building with the interior renovated by the owner and friends. It is a private lodging where you can feel the history of Niigata, located in the back of a narrow alley in Niigata. Please also let us know in advance if you are bringing small children. If you need to sleep with your child, we will attach the bed and install a baby gate for safety. We will meet you in person at check-in. There is a smoking table in the garden. There are no restaurants nearby because it is far from the city. Please have dinner before you arrive or bring your food. The kitchen includes water, a gas stove, dishes, pots, and frying pans. There is also a fire pit for barbecuing in the garden. 　宿泊施設は山あいにある築40年になる昔ながらのたたずまいを残している古い和風の一軒家です。和室8畳１間と10畳2間の広々としたスペースがあることから家族旅行あるいは親しい友人同士のグループ旅行に適した間取りです。もちろん、お一人様のご予約も承ります。予約された滞在期間中は他のゲストは受け入れませんので気兼ねなくお過ごしいただけます。ただし、各お部屋の仕切りは襖だけなのでそれぞれのお部屋はプライベートなお部屋としてはご利用できません。300坪の敷地内に建てられた住宅のため、隣家とは離れているのでご近所に気兼ねなく滞在できます。夏の期間中は前庭でバーベキューや花火などに興じることも可能です。もし、星に興味をお持ちなら晴れた夜には保有する光学機器で星空もご案内いたします。日中はドローンを使って庭先の上空から周辺の山々を空中散歩することも可能です。ここは都会では決して味わうことのない静かで自然豊かな環境と岩手県の遠野と共通する南部地方特有の古い伝統文化を今も色濃く残した地域です。なお、11月1日から翌年3月19日までの期間は冬季休業とさせていただきますのでご理解ください。

It is a home stay at a private house in a quiet residential area. An artist in her 60's and two cats live in a Japanses style house. You are wellcomed as a member of the family, so we can cook and chat together. If you like, I can help you with sightseeing, kimono dressing and instract creating Japanse Paper art. You can enjoy the snowy landscape and natural hot spring in Winter too. If you can cook together, breakfast will be served. I hope you can have an unique stay in Japan.
