“We had such an amazing time at this cabin! The cabin was clean, the bed was extremely comfortable, and we loved the shower. We also really enjoyed the outdoor space in front of the cabin. It was wonderful to be able to just sit there and enjoy the gorgeous scenery around us. The hiking trails were great and we loved meeting the neighbor's dog on our hike.”

“If you find yourself in Kansas City, this is the place for you. I can't say enough about this guest house, and John and Cora's hospitality. The location is very charming- horses in back, fruit trees, fenced in space for your dogs to run and play, a generally quiet location, and only 20-30min from downtown KC. The guesthouse is perfect for a couple- the most comfortable bed I have slept on in a long time, a modern and fully-stocked full-service kitchen, washer dryer, nice bathroom (with sliding barn style door and toiletries generously provided in case you forgot!), a lovely front porch, and then for you summer-time travelers- a saltwater pool, with floats to boot! My boyfriend and I met here (in lieu of flying to see each other during the pandemic), and it was a perfect midpoint for our long weekend. All of this would be more than enough, but I have to say that I had no idea what a pretty and interesting city Kansas City is, so just another added bonus! Our visit couldn't have been better, all credit to John and Cora and their thoughtful attention to creating such a comfortable and inviting space. Looking forward to future visits!”
Looking for something off the beaten path? Sun & Moon is located just far enough away from town to soak up some beautiful forest and sky. We are off-grid, and as close to nature as possible. Wild turkey, deer, and eagles are our neighbors and stars light the night. Hiking, resting, and resetting are on offer- interspersed with birdwatching and sky-gazing- perfect to reset from hectic modern life.
“Lovely clean cozy yurt. Beautiful painting on the doors and lattice work. The wood burning stove kept the hurt so nice and cozy while the weather was hitting 32. Smells really good too. When we didn’t want to use the stove to cook there was a camp stove that was really easy to use. Composting outhouse was super clean and not very far from the yurt Can’t see the yurt from where you park but it was a short walk not nearly as far as I had thought. Close enough to town to go to the grocery store easily They had a book on Mongolian nomads and yurts which they call gers. Very intriguing. Had a nice weekend to sit and just talk with my two grandsons. Would love to come back on a warmer weekend”
