Cottage by the lake

A cottage by the water where you can enjoy the summer in many different ways. The two-storey log cabin is located on the shore of Lake Lankojärvi. The cottage has a cosy living room, a fireplace and a well-equipped kitchenette. Upstairs, there are beds and stunning views. Our guests have enjoyed the wood-fired sauna and swimming, stand-up paddleboarding and rowing in a boat on the lake. There is also a private shelter on the shore, where you can have a fire in the evening and admire the magnificent sunset and, for example, prepare food.

Relax in a peaceful lakeside cottage - in Pataäs. A private sauna and a sandy beach provide the perfect place to relax. There are excellent fishing opportunities right from the shore. From the yard, you can access berry and mushroom forests as well as hunting grounds. The nearby village of Lampsijärvi brings services close by, and the slopes of Ritavalkea are a short distance away. In winter, the bright nights offer wonderful opportunities to admire the Northern Lights directly from the cottage's garden.

Location next to village road doesn't bother those coming from cities and in return, you have a lake view and a natural sandy beach, where to follow northern day and year go by. After an active day, relax in the warmth of fireplace, sauna or hot pool. Or on the beach, around the campfire, where you can whisper your thoughts into the dark star studded night, when everything around you is still.

Welcome to our cozy lakeside cottage with private sauna on the Arctic Circle, a warm retreat where Nordic simplicity meets soulful comfort. Set on 2.7 ha of private land with direct access to Lake Miekojärvi, it’s the perfect place to slow down, reconnect, and feel again. We are Joakim from Sweden and Jenny from Germany. We fell in love with the stillness and beauty of Arctic Finland, and we’re excited to share our cottage, and a little piece of that magic, with guests from around the world.

There is a wide selection of winter activites arranged near by like (reindeer farms, snow mobile tours etc.) and the location is less than an hour drive from bigger attractions (Rovaniemi, Santa Claus village, ski resorts). In the summer there are SUP-boards you can use for free and a wood heated grill. Nearby is also a nature trail called Sompasen luontopolku.

Hotel-level clean and cozy apartment in a good location, suitable for both short and long stays. You don't need to bring anything with you. (Center 2km, tourist center 10km, hospital 1.5km Santa Claus' workshop village 1h by car) All photos taken in the apartment, no additional photos from the internet! I can take care of airport transfers and help plan activities in the area, such as ice fishing, skiing, aurora hunting or snowmobile safaris. All within 10 km of the apartment.

The double bed and outdoor jaquzzi bring the luxorious feel to the place, and the private shore with a pier where you can sit and enjoy the calm nature around you.
