BABhouse Villa Jardim das Oliveiras [Olive Garden Villa] 155511/AL We invite you to our house, which was a garden planted by Pedro Machado, a grandson of the land who revived the agricultural building of his grandfather Júlio Machado. The house is modern, single-story and embraces the entire surroundings. On the slab of the house you will find a mural by the Argentine artist Tomas Facio, the work “Douro Paisagem Humana”. This mural is intended to honor the sacrifice of all the people of Douro who, with their hands, shaped the landscape of this wonderful region.

The village is located between three important points: Spain (5 minutes), Bragança (12 minutes) and Miranda do Douro (25 minutes). In this place, it is possible to recharge, where the only noise is that of Nature. Possibility of being Trasmontano, getting to know its gastronomy and even being able to cook our dishes and products, Bread, Jams, Sausages and the many traditional dishes made in the Pot. Take the Bike and get to Spain in 10 minutes, as well as a Basilica in 5 minutes and a Roman Bridge.

This place is our sacred go-to spot when we want to get out of the city and immerse ourselves in nature. This place has special significance for our family because it was here that as a child, we would spend whole days watching over the cows, reading and dreaming as the sun moved across the sky towards dusk. We have recently completed renovations, adding solar & central heating and we would love to share it with people who are looking for a unique experience in an unexplored region of Portugal.
