What started out as a last minute unplanned trip to Durban turned out to be a memorable and very good trip. On arrival, Melanie was waiting for us and she welcomed us with a warm smile, ushered us to our room and gave us a tour of the property. The guest house is in an atmosphere of tranquility close to many local amenities. Waking up to the sound and beautiful sight of the ocean was a great way to start the morning as our room overlooked a golf course and the ocean. Melanie and her staff made us feel welcome and made sure that our room was sparkling clean when we returned in the afternoon from the day’s activities. The room, pool and garden look precisely the same as shown in the photos on the website. Starting off the day with continental breakfast at the guest house helped us start our days’ activities early and happy. I highly recommend Melanie’s guest house and I would love to come again.

This is such a great place to lock in yourself and your loved ones, so private, good surroundings and clean space they have. They’re very friendly and welcoming, we felt like we’re home, so warm and everything was just perfect ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹I will definitely book for another stay soon.

Stephanie's communication skills are top-notch, and the apartment was lovely. I especially love its location, which is incredibly convenient. I could easily access stores and restaurants without having to go too far from my doorstep. It's a fantastic choice all around!

I booked for out of town company trainers, and I was beyond happy with the service in booking and leading up to their arrival. Thank you so much for everything. Below are their comments. It was a lovely B & B, the service was great, close proximity to shops & eateries made it so much more convenient. Beds were comfortable, rooms lovely & spacious. I would love to stay there again. I personally found it very friendly comfortable and the room very spacious - ideally meeting my own needs of comfort and convenience especially the wonderful showers & comfortable bed. In particular, the friendliness of staff to assist wherever needed and the "honesty" refreshments and use of facilities was very welcome. In addition, the proximity to shops, restaurants and the quietness of the surrounds was much appreciated. I would be very happy to recommend to any business or holiday traveller. This would likely cost within the "boutique" range of hospitality.

Perfect for it's price - in fact, it is worth more than what Joss lists it for. We won't even look at other AirBnB's when we come back this side - we will hope to book this very unit! Besides everything I rated this place for already (super neat; great communication from Joss; matches description and photos; etc) we loved the high ceiling of the room, and how very spacious it is. The en-suite bathroom is immaculate - exactly like the photos. The unit is in a pristine location - right on Bridle Road, which is on and goes through the 'Krantzkloof' part of Kloof: a deep gorge with waterfalls, that is very forest-y / jungle-y . Whilst not near the top of the gorge, you still have a great view from the garden area of the unit. It is a very peaceful stay. Thank you Joss for a great stay.

Thank you, Katrina - you are one in a million, and after two short stays we consider you a good friend. Thanks for the beautiful stay and all the small (big!) things you do extra. Great option for business or leisure travel. I would say this is the best place we have ever stayed at on the Dolphin Coast, and really one of the best places I’ve ever stayed at. We miss it already.. will have to come back soon for another stay.
