Smoking friendly holiday rentals in Vanuatu

Wonderful place for a relaxing holiday, the accommodation is nicely set up to while away the hours doing very little if that is your objective. And if not there are also kayaks and other things to do, and Annie was very generous in giving information and helping out. Looking forward to returning. This oasis is magic, bungalows on the beach that have are beautiful fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, BBQ etc etc all the mod cons you would need. We felt we were a million miles away from the troubles of the world & the owner Annie is a wonderful host nothing is a problem, and is a wealth of information. Following her recommendation we spent 2 x evenings at Erakor Island for dinner night including my birthday. A great night was had by all.  We laughed from morning till night . We snorkled and took a kyak out every day. Our son Shane loves this place so much....He says every time, let's go back "home"....Oh and the serenity !!!!

This is the real deal. Tom and his extended family are wonderful and welcoming hosts. Rare chance to go off-grid and experience living off-grid in a mostly self-sustaining home in the forest. When else can you sleep in a massive banyan tree? Beautiful, peaceful surroundings including the family’s manicured farm where they raise animals and grow bananas, papaya/pawpaw, cassava, taro and of course kava. Perfect place to use as a base to visit the awe-inspiring active Mount Yasur volcano. Fall asleep and wake up to its mighty rumbling. Tip: You may wish to BYO torch/flashlight/headlamp, insect repellant, water, snacks, and tea/coffee if you are particular about your caffeine fix. But most important bring an open mind and open heart to share some time in this very special place.

That's simple, if I come again to Port-Vila I'll go to this place again. Richie's family made ma staying there great, thanks for everything ! 😊

A totally magical place! Our stay was Farea @ Watermark was absolutely wonderful. The location is breathtaking, the welcome fantastic and the property stunning. We snorkelled from the property straight onto the reef before breakfast, watched the stars from the loungers at night, had an amazing turtle spotting and snorkelling boat tour with Noland (one of Colin's team) and enjoyed a wonderful local meal prepared by Fanni, Noland’s wife. We could have stayed for weeks! Please don't tell anyone - let's keep it a secret!

Our stay at Daniel's place was amazing!! The beachview from the place was beautiful. You can pre book your airport pickup and drop off and local tours with Daniel. It was nice to hear stories about the island and the local traditions and customs from him. Our personal favorite was the daily breakfast that Daniel delivers which consists of locally grown fresh avocados, papaya and banana. You also get free kayaks that you can use to kayak to Champagne Beach (we didn't go too far since we weren't confident swimmers and didn't want to go into deep waters) The restaurant close by is really good and has a few vegetarian options too. Overall, our stay with Daniel was great and we will definitely be back soon!!

Janeth and Peter welcomed us into their family and showed us the most amazing time possible. The location and surrounds were pristine and almost dreamlike in quality. The village has a family atmosphere and is a beautiful thing to be apart of during your stay. The kids are happy and joyous which is super contagious. The coral reefs, only metres from the front door are sensational, the fishing is fantastic and the beaches offer true relaxation and privacy. This district is only recommended to those who can 'unplug' from the world happily, as it's quite isolated from communication (but it's possible if you need it), shops and night-life etc... But for those who seek some peace and tranquillity, it rivals any place on earth, my wife and I completely fell in love with the place and it's people and cannot wait to visit again. Thank you Janeth and your beautiful family for an amazing stay which we will never forget.

Michael was an excellent host and Ben and Eva who greeted us at the property were very helpful. We went out for a snorkel trip to Lelepa. The house and surrounds are beautiful. We will be looking to stay there again. The full kitchen was great for our family, we took our food and cooked each night.

We loved our two weeks at Lonnoc Beach bungalows with Kalmer and his family. We had a spot right on the beach front to camp. There is wifi included in the price and use of kayaks for free :) we had clean showers and a toilet and the restaurant was available if we needed it. If you fly into Santo get to Luganville town and jump in a public minibus, they usually leave after 2.30pm and will cost you only 500vt each. Then during your stay you can hitch hike to and from town or along the east coast for 500 per person. The luganville market have great fruit and veg for cheap too - mango’s and pomello’s for 15p!! During our stay we felt part of the community, making friends with Kalmers big family, going to church, eating with them and sharing stories. We definitely recommend camping here (if you have your own tent) and you’re on a budget but want to travel to Vanuatu.

We stayed longer than planned because Air Vanuatu went into administration. But, this wasn't an issue. Klaas and Josephine looked after us the whole way. Our flight was cancelled but they did everything they could to make us feel at home. Our domestic departure to Port Vila was late and we missed our international flight but Josephine managed to pull some strings and we were put on the next flight out of Vila. Without her and Klaas I'm sure we'd still be there now. The accomodation was great. It was on the water and the sound of the water lapping on the beach was too good! During the day Josephine would help organize and negotiate day tours for us. She also made us lots of nice drinks and kept the coconuts flowing. We explored the island and met the neighbors. The bunkers were cool. Klaas took us around to see the sights and did a bit of 4wd'ing. The local food was great. Make sure you request Lap Lap, Tuluk, and Simboro. You'll be glad you did!
