Bank, post office, train station and pizzeria are in Edane, to the city of Arvika 25 km. A short forest walk from the accommodation to Lake Värmeln. Close to Arvika golf course, an 18-hole course.

There is also a rowboat to borrow. The surroundings are known for offering a rich supply of berries and mushrooms. In winter, there are rich opportunities for cross-country skiing and ice fishing.
