Holidays by the lake Unden

In the middle of West Götalands unspoilt nature with its lakes and forests, near the big lake Vättern, about 5 kilometers from the village of Undenäs and far away from any through traffic, the small country village of Igelstad is located, directly on the lake Unden. The village is a small collection of scattered houses and farms, of which some are permanently inhabited, while others are used as summer cottages. Here, in a large clearing in the forest, the small farm "Nolgården" is situated. The house is a separate, well-equipped classic wooden log house, built in spruce. It was thourougly renovated in 2008. There is a private bathroom, kitchen and private terrace, Internet connection (WLAN) and Amazon Fire TV (Magenta TV). A cozy fireplace and electric heating provide comfortable warmth. Directly from the house you can make nice walks in the unspoilt nature, pick berries and mushrooms, or walk to lake Unden, one of the clearest and most pristine lakes in Sweden. From the house to the west side of the peninsula, there is only 800 meters. Here you can have a swim or enjoy the sunset over Unden. The eastern shore can be reached in quarter of an hour via a forest path. By the shore a canoe lies ready for extensive reconnaissance trips to the beautiful deserted islands and quiet bays. But the area has much more to offer: the romantic Tiveden National Park, Lake Viken, Forsvik and the Göta canal with its locks, and the huge lake Vättern are just a few examples of interesting destinations.

Fishing license is available on site, boat is available to rent for SEK 150 per day. Proximity to skiing and activity facilities. Possibility to rent a wood-fired hot tub for 2 days for SEK 1000. The house is connected to our residential house with access to a large garden with free-range chickens. We are hospitable and happy to offer stories and information about the area. The house can comfortably accommodate 6 sleeping guests, large garden, 2 minutes to swimming, playground & ice cream. The house is located next to Östgötaleden with its beautiful nature, 5 min to Omberg and golf course, 30 min to Vadstena and Gränna. Around the corner is also Västergården's campsite for motorhomes.

The gem of Norra Vätättern

On a ridge overlooking the beautiful archipelago of northern Vättern lies our modern, newly built holiday home with large social areas and a fantastic ceiling height with nice light inclusions. Here, a slightly larger group/family can find recovery with proximity to nature, yet it is only 10 minutes by car to the beautiful small town of Askersund. Tiveden National Park is close to Harjebaden's long sandy beach. The house was ready in autumn 2018 and has all amenities.

Stor chans att få se mycket vilt som rådjur, älg, räv och även Havsörn. 500 meter promenadstig till ångbåtshamn, badplats och fiske.

Enjoy an undisturbed, fully equipped modern house, with only nature and the vast views as your nearest neighbor. From here, it's a cycling distance to swim in the beautiful lake Vättern, nature experiences and fabulous Vadstena with its small cobbled streets, colorful wooden houses and rich cultural life.

The apartment is located on the ground floor of the large house with its own entrance. It has three double rooms with room for six overnight guests and a large living room with space for two more. All bedrooms have windows facing the lake. You have access to a private beach with a wood-fired sauna and fishing in the lake. There are also good opportunities for walking, running and cycling tours in the surrounding area and the forest.
