Stone Cottage in Grounds of a 16th-Century Castle

The cottage sits on the grounds of a castle dating back to 1543 offering an authentic stay. The interior retains a decor that matches the historic charm of the area with modern comforts added and a shared pool in the stunning gardens outside. This is our smallest cottage and cannot take an additional bed or cot. The other cottages are all larger and can do this. All 3 cottages can be rented separately or together. They are in the grounds of a 16th century castle with beautiful gardens and large swimming pool enclosed by stone walls. The lower salon and summer kitchen in the main chateau is available to share. Access is by the side garden gate and all cottages are accessed by stone steps- sadly not suitable for wheelchairs. We will most likely be present living in the main Chateau and available to help and advise about restaurants and things to do in the area. We will share the pool and gardens. The old village is in a beautiful part of France that is has retained its iconic beauty through the centuries and still feels untouched by modern life in many places. Experience true local dining and bakeries with scenic walking trails all around. parking is in the church square below the Chateau. There is a local taxi service in the village and bus service to Avignon, Banyols sur Ceze and Uzes but car hire is recommended. We are 20 minutes from Avignon TGV rail station and about an hour from Marseille, Nimes or Montpellier airports. The cottages are completely private and tranquil.

Mas Sellier: Relaxing rural retreat, pool & garden

*** July & August: Sunday to Sunday only. This beautiful Provencal Mas provides comfortable sleeping and relaxing for 8. It's an old, authentic stone building set amongst vines and lavender fields, with great views of the Ardêche, stunning sunsets, and a pool. The house is well suited to families or a group of friends. Indoors and outdoors, there is plenty of room for people to spread out, whilst also providing great spaces for spending time together. It's a perfect mix of cosy and spacious.

Ideally located, lovely stone village house with inner courtyard, swimming pool, not overlooked. 2-minute walk to the historic center of St Remy. Completely renovated this year, fully air-conditioned. On the ground floor, a nice living room, a fully equipped kitchen, laundry room. Upstairs, 2 bedrooms (180 beds or 2X90 Twins) each with their own ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower and toilet. Linens are provided, sheets, bath and pool towels.
