“Annette’s cottage was even lovelier than expected. Such a great area for walking and exploring (full of thatched cottages and plenty of lovely pubs in the area - we went to the Poplar farm and The Mayfly!). The cottage itself was spotless, very cosy and had lots of lovely touches; perfect for the two of us. It was also well equipped for making dinner in the cottage on the 2nd night. Had everything we needed and Annette was on hand should we have needed anything else. Would happily stay here again and recommend to anybody looking for a relaxing countryside stay!”
Shalbourne is a beautiful village about 3 miles from Hungerford and 8 miles from Marlborough and in an area of outstanding natural beauty. We have a friendly village pub which has a large and varied menu and a village shop which serves delicious fresh coffee and pastries. The Annexe is a comfortable twin-bedded studio set in our 2 acre garden which has far reaching views over the surrounding countryside. There are great walks and cycle rides from our front door.
“Stunning views - even in poor weather. I really appreciated the little touches such as fresh bread and lovely jams and an easy check-in. A great location for some stunning country walks and historic villages. I enjoyed wandering around the village of Ham and doing the recommended walk from a leaflet found in the handy tourist info folder in Sarah's place.”
We have a large double room within a modern townhouse, in a quiet neighbourhood close to Andover town centre and train station. We are also close to the A303 with good links to Basingstoke, Salisbury and Winchester.
“This is our third visit at Simon and Kieran’s home. They make you feel very welcome in their lovely home and Ralph the pug always likes to be made a fuss of. Lovely family to stay with, highly recommended. Breakfast is always laid out for you and lots of tea and coffee left in the room. Will definitely being using it again.”
