Holiday rentals in Vigur

We had a wonderfully peaceful stay at Mountain Song. The place was very cozy and secluded and perfect for getting away from it all. We were there late in the season, but even with some of the roads and trails inaccessible, we found plenty to keep us busy with nearby hikes, restaurants, breweries, and painting and reading while watching the snow fall out the windows.

A quiet retreat in the Westfjords not far from the town of Isafjorda. The home was clean and peaceful and gave us room to spread out. It has a beautiful view of the mountains flanking each side of the fjord and was very private even with other homes nearby. We appreciated having a hot tub to relax at the end of the day and access to a laundry room.

The accommodation is spacious, very well equipped. Various games are available for children and board games are also provided. The accommodation is clean and nice. An electrical outlet is also available for those with an electric vehicle. Finally the view is beautiful from the living room, a huge view of the bay.

Well…to be honest, I wouldn’t use “luxury” to describe this place. Cozy, modern, efficient definitely! Most importantly the views surrounding the location is just breathtaking. Kirkjufell view is right out your balcony 24/7. The unit is on a small size about 25sqm give or take. Kitchen is equipped enough for lite cooking for 2 no more than that. Unless you plan to stay in your room 24hrs this will never be a problem. The host was friendly and gave clear instructions, no fuss at all. If you’re looking for a peacefully beautiful location with gorgeous views all around this place tick all the boxes. But not for the kind of “luxury stay” if that’s what you want.

Comfortable well appointed house in a great town from which to explore the local area. Kitchen worked really well for breakfasts and dinners at home. Plenty of space for our family.

Great location for the peninsula, the place was clean and cozy and we got to see the Northern Lights at night!

We had an amazing time in the westfjords! The location is perfect too see all the highlights of the westfjords. The view from the terrace is breathtaking!

A stunning cottage indeed as per listing’s description. We spent an entire day in to enjoy the house. We also caught the aurora from the house :)

The charming cabin was comfortable and homey with a beautiful view. Checkin and checkout at nearby lodge was quick. The friendly staff made us feel at home.
