Ski-in/out The cabin borders directly on the hiking and alpine terrain eastwards behind the cabin. A great hiking terrain towards Silkedalen. Short distance to many fishing lakes and nice swimming areas. The area is known for its great skiing conditions throughout the winter with 150 km of groomed cross-country trails, 12 lifts and 26 slopes. Shared lift card and ski bus between the lifts. Grønlid house, or "the house on the green hillock" as its meaning says, is located in the center of Rauland, near the main road, which makes it easy to find. Even though it is centrally located, it is also very silent. Nearest supermarket is about 5 minutes walk so you can let your car parked in front of the house for free and have yourself a nice short walk. And not only short, there are several beautiful hiking trails, which I will gladly recommend. Nearby is also a public sauna and pool for your evening relax.
