Mansion holiday rentals in Virden

The house was really beautiful and unique. No problems with anything in the house other than 1 TV but there were many others. Only recommendation is for that size of house would be nice to have an oven and really need more than one small shower. Everything else was great!

We had a large group of friends who came to celebrate my 50th Birthday in Grafton, it was the perfect place to host this celebration. The home had everything we needed for the occasion. It had plenty of space for all our guest, lots of parking and the location was prime for enjoying all that Grafton has to offer! I would highly recommend her place for a large group of friends or family gathering!

This was our second time visiting the Bressmer, and just like last time, we had a wonderful stay. We rented the entire mansion, which was the perfect solution for several families to stay together. Each floor allows the family to get together for food and conversation while allowing young children and adults quiet time. The area is close to several historical sites and museums, making daily exploration a breeze. The best is the historic charm the Bressmer provides, as it allows for the unique experience of living in a Victorian mansion with all the modern amenities you’d expect. It’s a fantastic property, and we will revisit it soon.

Our family of 16 stayed and had a terrific time, so much for the kids to do. Among the pool and hot tub the indoor swings and bunks with slide were a bonus that the kids could not get enough of. Abundance of sleeping room and plenty of bathrooms with ample amount of space. The upgrades in the movie room with bedroom/bath were gorgeous. Our family movie night felt like being right at the show but the children and adults could cuddle up. Everyone listened to their favorite genre of music on the rockn surround sound system. We had fun playing kick ball and an Easter egg hunt in the enormous front lawn. Can not say enough about the space at this place. We were able to prepare our own buffet style meals in the large kitchen/dining area and the french vanilla Cappuccino machine they provided was a hit. Sean was a super friendly host!! Memories made and so so much more fun than staying at a hotel in separate hotel rooms.

HOSTS WERE GREAT AND ON TOP OF THERE GAME ANYTHING YOU NEEDED WAS THOUGHT OF AND THERE FOR ALL KIDS AND ADULTS MISSING A TOOTH BRUSH IT WAS THERE SNACKS LAYED OUT FOR GUESTS TRULY GREAT PEOPLE WHO CARE ABOUT YOUR TIME AT THERE PLACE MUCH APPRECIATED, WAS A GREAT TIME BEING THERE WE WILL BE BACK

We enjoyed the quiet country atmospher and was close to everything we were there to do. The lodge was equipped with everything we needed if I’m in the area again I’ll be looking to book Ghost Hollow Lodge.

The place was exactly what was described. We stayed there for the week for work in town. Much better than a hotel.

Very nice place. Plenty of restaurants and shopping within 10 minutes away. Would definitely stay again when in the area.

What an amazing space for a larger group!!! Very clean & right next to everything. Grafton is such a cool area with so many things to do, right on the main strip & nearly everywhere is walkable. Spacious & lots of beds & rooms. Also a small lot to park in on the side & street parking in the front! All around an awesome & great experience!

Nice place, perfect for us! Lots to do around the house and outside areas. Our twin 6 year olds loved the rope course, outside slide, soccer goals, foosball table, etc... they just couldn't get enough of all the fun things/activities to do inside/outside the house. Highly recommended from them!

Wonderful place! Walking distance to some of the best spots in Alton! Easy walk to great parks and a super cute little bakery. Host was super accommodating and kind. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in the area!

Absolutely gorgeous house to stay it. Comfortable and feels like home for all of us. Plenty of space to spread out and relax. Kitchen is definitely the best part we used it multiple times a day to cook for everyone . I would definitely rent again l.

Sheri is an excellent host! I stayed in the host home for the Christmas holiday. My family from across several states joined together in the home as our first real gathering since my husband passed away the previous year. It was a very happy time for us. There were 11 of us overall and everyone loved the place and felt right at home. I traveled from Nevada. Upon arrival, I found everything I needed to relax and enjoy time with family. During our stay, my dog became very ill. I booked an extra night after our initial time was up. I wanted too make sure my dog was alright and I was rested before the drive ahead of us. Sheri was very flexible in working out the extra night and very attentive to the needs of my dog. She checked up on my dog even after I had arrived back home. I will definitely stay in her home again. I don’t think you can find a better host. Thank you Sheri for making our stay special.
