De Oude Smederij

Enjoy and relax in the Frisian countryside? This is possible with us in De Oude Smederij, which was formerly a forge but has been completely renovated into a comfortable vacation home. The Oude Smederij is located in an agricultural area on the outskirts of the village of Arum (on the Elfsteden route) and is centrally located between Harlingen (on the Wadden Sea with ferry services to Vlieland and Terschelling), Franeker (Planetarium and Frisian Museum), Bolsward (Broerekerk) and Makkum, located on the IJsselmeer with boulevard and beach.

Woning in Sint Jacobiparochie

Ruim opgezette woning. Door onder andere een elektrische buitendeur, brede schuifdeuren, alles drempelvrij en volledig op de begane grond ook rolstoelvriendelijk. De woning is voorzien van twee sta op stoelen die voor iedereen comfortabel zitten. Slaapkamer 1 heeft een tweepersoons elektrisch bed, de 2e slaapkamer is voorzien van een bed van 120 x 200 en een hoog-laag bed. Bereikbaar via eigen ingang, eigen terras en tuin. Dichtbij de Waddenzee en mooie uitvalbasis om de regio te verkennen.

The front house of the farm has been converted into a spacious guest house overlooking the garden and meadows. We have an organic dairy farm and work with nature as much as possible. Tussen de groene vlaktes van het Friesche Menaldum vindt u de uniek gebouwde Tiny Farm House met veranda inclusief hot tub. Deze grenst aan een traditionele kop hals romp boerderij uit 1880. Sinds 1980 runt boer Folkert de melkveehouderij waar 110 koeien gemelkt worden. Kom tot rust in de hot tub of neem een duik in de zwemvijver nabij. Ga met de veerboot een dag naar Terschelling of Vlieland. Breng een bezoek aan de hoofdstad Leeuwarden of stap op de fiets en verken de omgeving.

Lyts Kastieltsje, a quiet cottage in an orchard

Lyts Kastieltsje is a short walk from the Waddenzee, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the largest tidal area on Earth. The cottage was once part of the cooling barn for the old fruit farm. It is surrounded by just over a hectare of gardens, orchards and meadow which provide a home for our three sheep, bees and many species of birds. The orchards contain plum, quince, medlar and different varieties of apple and pear trees. We also share the place our dog Jack, 10 ducks and some chickens.
