De Oude Smederij

Enjoy and relax in the Frisian countryside? This is possible with us in De Oude Smederij, which was formerly a forge but has been completely renovated into a comfortable vacation home. The Oude Smederij is located in an agricultural area on the outskirts of the village of Arum (on the Elfsteden route) and is centrally located between Harlingen (on the Wadden Sea with ferry services to Vlieland and Terschelling), Franeker (Planetarium and Frisian Museum), Bolsward (Broerekerk) and Makkum, located on the IJsselmeer with boulevard and beach.

Unplugged summer dike house · on the Frisian mudflats

Wake up as the light spreads across the salt marshes. This detached dike house on the Bildtdijk is conscious without Wi-Fi and TV. A place to really slow down. Doors open, coffee in the sun, sipping wine at the picnic table with a CD or vinyl from the collection until the sun goes down. Two bedrooms with Auping mattresses, fully equipped kitchen and a 680 m² private garden with deck deck. The sea dyke is within walking distance. Holwerd (ferry Ameland) 20 minutes, Harlingen (Vlieland/Terschelling) 30 minutes.

Farmhouse Okkingastate

The front house of the farm has been converted into a spacious guest house overlooking the garden and meadows. We have an organic dairy farm and work with nature as much as possible. Tussen de groene vlaktes van het Friesche Menaldum vindt u de uniek gebouwde Tiny Farm House met veranda inclusief hot tub. Deze grenst aan een traditionele kop hals romp boerderij uit 1880. Sinds 1980 runt boer Folkert de melkveehouderij waar 110 koeien gemelkt worden. Kom tot rust in de hot tub of neem een duik in de zwemvijver nabij. Ga met de veerboot een dag naar Terschelling of Vlieland. Breng een bezoek aan de hoofdstad Leeuwarden of stap op de fiets en verken de omgeving.

Lyts Kastieltsje, a quiet cottage in an orchard

Lyts Kastieltsje is a short walk from the Waddenzee, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the largest tidal area on Earth. The cottage was once part of the cooling barn for the old fruit farm. It is surrounded by just over a hectare of gardens, orchards and meadow which provide a home for our three sheep, bees and many species of birds. The orchards contain plum, quince, medlar and different varieties of apple and pear trees. We also share the place our dog Jack, 10 ducks and some chickens.

Sluyterman Apartment

Between Leeuwarden, Sneek, Franeker and Bolsward lies our quiet village in the Frisian countryside in "De Greidhoeke". The apartment is located in our house from 1856 with beautiful high ceilings, a private entrance and free parking in front of the door. The apartment is on the ground floor, fully equipped with underfloor heating and a fully equipped kitchen. In the bathroom, there is also a washing machine, including detergent, for the small laundry.

"De Mooie Liefde" Tiny house in Friesland.

Our "Beautiful Love" used to be the horse stable belonging to the centuries-old farm in which we live. In 2020, we transformed it together with a lot of love and passion into a tiny house with an old lived-in look. The green staircase leads upstairs to the beautiful loft with a 180x200 bed, with a double mattress and a double sheep wool duvet. Under the loft, you will find the beautiful bathroom and kitchen. Sustainable, cozy, private guesthouse in Berlikum

Guest accommodation on the first floor of our sustainable home (1880). Private entrance, kitchen, shower and toilet. Located on the continuous waterway. We live in the house (Jasper, Marleen, Thijmen, 12, Rense, 9, and Feline, 7). We renovated the house ourselves. Recently, the entire guest house has been renovated. The guest house has a kitchenette with all the necessary amenities (fridge-freezer, coffee maker, kettle, microwave, stove, etc.)

Our beautiful comfortable Bakhuske is a small cozy apartment and equipped with every comfort. You have access to a small terrace, and you can also use the garden. Where you can enjoy the sun or, for example, make a fire. You can cycle and walk in the area. There are bicycle routes available.
