Holiday rentals in Wallingford

My family and I had a lovely time at Harry and Jill's. Unfortunately, it rained A LOT while we were there, but we still enjoyed the board games and hot tub. There is not a lot in the nearby surrounding area, so any restaurant or substantial hike is about 45 minutes away. There is 1 hike available within 5 minutes walking distance of the property. The property itself is private and peaceful. The house is very clean and comfortable with all the necessary amenities. I would definitely recommend Harry and Jill's for a quiet and relaxing getaway in the woods.

This house was amazing in every way. We stayed here with our 3 little kids (ages 2, 4, 7) and there were ample accommodations to keep them entertained - games, puzzles, movies, and especially the fun discovery. For the adults, it was a delight to have everything we could want and need, plus the bonus of being so perfectly decorated with great art throughout. Not to mention the grounds were excellent to spend time outside in a peaceful setting. We were close to great RRG trails and yummy restaurants. All 5 of us are ready to go back!!

I recently stayed at this cabin for the weekend, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The cabin was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, making it feel immediately welcoming and comfortable. The surrounding area was incredibly peaceful — perfect for relaxing and disconnecting from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The setting was beautiful, with nature right outside the door, and it was clear that a lot of care was put into making the space cozy and inviting. The amenities were exactly as described (and even better than expected), and everything we needed was readily available. Overall, this cabin offered the perfect blend of comfort, tranquility, and charm. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet getaway, and I’m already looking forward to coming back!

Gorgeous, updated, clean, remote cabin. Exactly what we were looking for. The fire pit and supplied starting material was perfect. Hot tub a great addition as well. We had a small trailer and the host was so accommodating from booking to check in. Would definitely stay here again!

the stay here was wonderful. our host had chairs and a table set out and ready for us. the location is excellent! Just far enough out to feel quiet and secluded. it was a great place to take our daughter "camping" for the first time. the only downside was the stinkbugs everywhere. but I suppose changing seasons out in the country, it is to be expected.

Absolutely loved the Briar Patch cabin! It was extremely clean, peaceful and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I would highly recommend and will be sharing with friends and family!

This was a great place to stay and a very good location to all the activities at Red River Gorge (only like a 15 min drive)! Of course some of the hiking trailheads are further away any resturaunt, store, etc... you can easily get to within 15 mins from the Airbnb. The place was very clean, and the bed was super comfortable! Sarah was a great host and was very responsive to any questions we had. Her list of recommendations was also super helpful and all the resturaunts that we got to try were amazing! We will definitely be booking here again if we return to the Gorge!

The perfect place for peace and quiet for our anniversary getaway. We loved the porch and sat out there most of our stay. And nothing beats the sound of rain on that porch except the view. Very grateful for the flowers & card for our anniversary. We will certainly be back in the future. *Note: Verizon cellular service is very limited.*

From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the comfort and attention to detail in this beautiful contemporary cabin. It offers the perfect blend of modern amenities and cozy charm, making it an ideal place to unwind. One of the highlights of our stay was the hike to Sunset Point—an incredible added bonus (We loved the ropes!)! The trail was beautiful, and the views at the top were absolutely breathtaking. After a day of exploring, relaxing in the hot tub under the stars was pure bliss. The time spent by the fire, enjoying the peaceful surroundings, was the perfect way to end each evening. The location is fantastic—peaceful and secluded, yet close to Red River Gorge and other outdoor adventures. The hosts were incredibly responsive and ensured everything was perfect for our stay. We highly recommend The Aldo to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getawa
