Hillrise Cottage is a peaceful and picturesque property on a hill above the gum trees with spectacular views of the Grampians to the west. 15 km from Ararat and 30 km from Halls Gap, Hillrise Cottage is a great base for exploring the beautiful Grampians region, (30mins away), taking in the local wineries or just relaxing. Chill out in this unique home, stroll around the 6 acre property and check out the large dam, beautiful trees and abundant wildlife. Hillrise is 2.5 hours west of Melbourne.

Small but comfy the accommodation is a self contained backyard bungalow. It has a kitchenette, separate shower ensuite and private bbq deck. Our guests value a comfy bed, a hot shower, the ability to cook their own meals and a place to relax in a private outdoor space . *The backyard is shared with our small friendly dog Toby. * 20 minutes drive to Halls Gap and the Grampians * 10 minutes to Great Western's wineries. *10 minute walk to the Stawell Gift, shops and bus/train station.

Mount Cole Cottages - Kookaburra Cottage

Kookaburra Cottage - Two bedroom eco cottage (built 2017) situated on our 13 acres bush property. Relax on the property or use it as a base for bush walking in the nearby Mount Cole State forest or visiting the Pyrenees wineries. Abundant wildlife including wallabies, echidnas & a wide assortment of birdlife. We are 15 km from Beaufort. Cosy cast iron chiminea on the deck; firewood supplied. Sadly, the historic meditation temple (c.1995) was destroyed in the February 2024 bushfire.

101 Love Shack

Our rustic 1903 mud-brick studio is made from river sand and mud sourced from the local Great Western area. The studio was built as a fruit kitchen by the Patching family who owned and operated a number of orchards along Concongella Creek and Salt Creek. The fruit kitchen has been recently renovated into a 1-bed studio which offers history and modern comforts. The cottage is surround by farm land meaning there is an abundance of animals to watch and enjoy, including Kangaroos.

Cosy mudbrick cottage

Families will love this rustic mudbrick cottage on a 10 acre property within a relaxed bush setting. Enjoy amazing sunsets, watch the kangaroos from the veranda, or take a walk through local bushlands. The outdoor fire area is the perfect place to unwind and view the amazing stars on a clear night. A few minutes drive from Talbot and 15 minutes drive from the famous Clunes Book Town. Being Central Victoria we have many small towns surrounding us within an hours drive.

The Barn at Weatherboard

Set among an abundant and lively garden, The Barn is our fully detached, unique guest house. The building was originally a fully functional blue stone farm barn but since owning the property we have converted the space into an open plan house, complete with kitchen, bathroom, large living area and two mezzanine bedrooms. The outside remains in its original state while the inside has been decorated with a collection of artwork and objects from our travels overseas.

Concongella Cabin a place to chillout

Our very unique and slightly quirky accommodation is based in a beautiful private country setting in Great Western, a short 45- minute drive from the foothills of the Grampians. Originally a shipping container, it has been repurposed with a range of up-cycled and preloved items curated with care. It is set in a quiet little pocket surrounded by native bushland with an abundance of native fauna.

Nestled amongst the beautiful rural landscapes of Raglan, Victoria is our little 8 acre property Valdara. Wake to the sound of birdsong and stunning sunrises. Spend your day exploring the Grampians (40 minute drive) or relax with a book by the fire. See the stars from your private balcony. The characterful railway carriage has been completely refurbished for the intention of a bed and breakfast and has a likeness to a 'tiny house'. Located on our Great Western vineyard it is a peaceful and beautiful place to get away and explore the area, or simply rest.
