This home, built in 2009 by a master builder, is located 15 miles from Tanglewood and 5 miles from Jacob's Pillow. It features custom woodworking, dining alcove and timber-framed interior including a sunken 'cruck' sitting room with gas fireplace. Due to much fine woodwork and short flights of stairs that don't require guard rails but may pose a hazard, the house is not suitable for toddlers.
“We were attracted to Will and Micheles place based on the photos and description as we appreciate craftsmanship. However, we were surprised that the photos do not do justice to the uniqueness, quality and attention to detail put into the construction of the home and many, if not all, furnishings! It is, in our opinion, a terrific place where we really felt at home. The reading room is truly a special and unique place. We brought our own books but there were so many books of interest that we hardly read ours We would definitely stay again - longer than our 2 day recent stay as we’d never tire of the comfortableness of this amazing home. Seemed we were smiling the entire time we were in the home, Thanks to Will and Michele for building and sharing your home!”
Relax and connect with family, friends, and nature at our family's 18th century homestead. Maple Hill Farm, as we affectionately call it, blends tradition with modern comforts. The property is the site of the historic Jonathan Foote House, a former Inn and B&B with 6 bedrooms that has provided respite for travelers to this beautiful area since 1778. The surrounding gardens are idyllic. The house is within a short drive of the Mass Pike (I-90) , downtown Lee, Stockbridge, Tanglewood and more.
“We made our reservation last March. Within a week of making the plans, we had some Chinese food with a fortune cookie that said "A family reunion in the coming months will be a tremendous success!" So this set our expectations for the weekend Very High. Our family did experience a wonderful reunion over the Labor Day weekend at Maple Hill Farm! We were drawn to make these plans around a nephew/cousin's wedding, which was a great event to come together for, but being able to all stay together in this wonderful farm house was a very special gift for all of us. The layout of the house is perfect for both gathering many together and maintaining any privacy that anyone needs. The kitchen has the center island for gathering around and was well equipped with all the tools, utensils, pans, dishes etc. that we needed. There was a great pantry to store all the foods that we all brought. The laundry room came in handy. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all very clean and had everything we needed including towels and very comfortable mattresses. The front porch was a very pleasant place to relax and have some great conversations. The huge yards all around the house were fun for all the kids to run off energy and play some games. The property manager, Church was friendly and very helpful. The location is great! It is convenient to many things, especially the grocery store, but it is also very private and quiet on the property. There are lots of things to do, places to go and things to enjoy within short distances. This is an ideal place!! So needless to say, it definitely lived up to our high expectations. We are looking forward to scheduling a return trip for next summer as soon as we coordinate all of our schedules. We want to thank Kiel and all of his family for sharing this gem with us.”

“We had a wonderful time staying at Sonya's place! The cottage was small but spotless and had absolutely everything we could need, including lots of pots/utensils for cooking and spare blankets for the cold weather. Sonya was an outstanding host - she was easy to get ahold of, messaged us to see how we were doing during a cold and snowy day, and provided thoughtful touches like a gift basket (which even accommodated food allergies in our group!). Even though the weather was gloomy during our visit, we had a great time sitting around the wood stove and eating meals at the breakfast nook, and the lake looked absolutely beautiful in the snow. We had a very cozy and relaxing weekend here and would wholeheartedly recommend Sonya's place to others!”
