I had a wonderful stay at this lovely cottage in Thruxton! The property was exactly as described—charming, cozy, and clean. It is set in a peaceful village surrounded by beautiful countryside, making it a perfect getaway. The host was welcoming and responsive. The bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen was well-equipped for cooking meals in. I especially loved the private garden—perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or a quiet evening. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to unwind in a picturesque English village. I’d happily return!

Beautiful place. Amazing kitchen dining area with view out onto the garden through full length French doors. Perfect for a mini family reunion. Loved the brick paint job in the smaller bedroom and other little arty touches here & there.

our family mini break here was fantastic.Large modern kitchen to envy . Rest of home full of character,very homely, plenty of space and a wonderful garden. plenty of activities for the children.

lovely place, great base for walking. local shop (co-op) and pub both easily walkable. spacious lounge and a beautiful courtyard which, if the weather holds, is a fantastic place for a relaxed breakfast.

Exceptional value, really well-executed AirBnb. Good water pressure, proper-sized towels, quality bedding, lots of kitchen incidentals - incl corkscrew and cafetière etc. etc. Top drawer.

We had a such enjoyable stay at Spinney Falls house. The house is beautiful and in a great location with a gorgeous view from upstairs balcony and bedrooms. The open plan layout is great and the pool table was a hit. The house is situated close to the pool and the football field wasn’t far away either. We had children ranging from 18 months old to 13 years old and everyone had a fabulous weekend. We’d definitely return. Many thanks!

Lovely, clean well equipped accommodation. Well positioned in a pretty village with easy access to the surrounding Cotswold & Oxfordshire countryside. Terry & Elaine were very gracious hosts and it was lovely to share the garden with them.

This is an exceptional Airbnb in a beautiful location! Anne's communication with us was prompt and directions were very clear and easy to follow. Everything was absolutely spotless and the beds were so comfortable. As two couples we loved the size and the layout that allowed quiet for those who slept in a little later. The eggs, bread, jams and cereal that Anne provided were much appreciated and a very nice touch! We loved the courtyard, the proximity to the Catherine Wheel Pub and the fact that we had a place to park our car. This is an excellent place to use as a base to see the Costwolds - our walk from Bibury to Coln St Aldwyn and back (including a picnic lunch and pint at a pub) was a real highlight of our trip. This was a perfect spot to escape to for a weekend. The Airbnb has everything you need for a place to crash and be super comfortable. The surrounding area is gorgeous and quick to get to anywhere you fancy going within the Hampshire Downs/New Forest. Johan went above and beyond as a host when he noticed that I happened to be South African too - a really lovely touch - can’t rec his spot enough!

Afsoon was a wonderful and attentive host. Easy to communicate with and keen to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The house is immaculate and peaceful - I could lie in bed and listen to the birds first thing. She offered to cook us dinner, for very reasonable price, which was a delicious Persian 3 course meal. We stayed here as we had to be at Dorney lake early. Although close to the lake, it is a bit of a drive to get to the other side. I would highly recommend staying here.

Our group had the most wonderful stay at Anthony’s place. The pictures do not do this home justice. The house itself is simply stunning and the surrounding gardens were spacious and perfect for the sunny weekend. There are some gorgeous walks, in the local area, walkable from the house itself. We also enjoyed a lovely lunch at the Red Lion pub down the road, would highly recommend. Anthony was an incredibly accomodating and responsive host, making the process feel smooth. Would stay again in a heartbeat! Thank you Anthony.

Many thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us so we could enjoy a wonderful long weekend. Upon arrival we received a welcome visit from James, who was very helpful and informative. The house was even better than we had expected and had everything we could have asked for. It comfortably fit 12 people. We had such a lovely stay at Jan’s place with the entire family for the Easter break. A great place to go with friends and family, with activities available for everyone. Would highly recommend!

We stayed here with four children (ages 2 to 6) and it was great. Lovely living area at the top of the house and plenty of space for everyone. We were very lucky with the weather and could eat outside on the balcony for most meals. Lots to do on the Lower Mill Estate for families. We would come again.

The folly is a beautiful and magical place with great character. We spent a couple nights there over New Year’s Eve and it was perfect. Check in was flexible and very easy. The location is very peaceful and the garden and surroundings beautiful. Great pub with excellent food a few minutes drive down the road. We hope to be back in the summer.

Oldbury Barn is in a lovely location in the countryside with great views (though tricky to find, so the 'what3words' helped a lot!). The house was nicely presented and lovely and clean. Plenty of pots, pans, mugs (!) utensils etc for a large family group. The open plan nature of the kitchen/diner/lounge is great for a multi generational family gathering like ours, as you are always all together in one huge room. However, note that its a tiled floor and there isn't much in the way of soft furnishings so noise echoes around a bit and can be heard from all bedrooms - but this is only a problem if you have very young kids going to bed early or getting up early! The 2 ground floor bedrooms are large and with lots of storage. The 2 upstairs bedrooms are small with very low ceilings and little storage - fine for kids but we were were 7 adults and one toddler, so that didnt work brilliantly for us . The "slight height restriction" in the description is quite an understatement!!
