We loved the unique venue. Great decor and very well thought out as to what was needed for your stay. The traffic noise is loud from the passing cars but we had expected this due to the other reviews. But a delightful weekend away with great things to do locally.

A lovely, roomy, private place. Angela’s communications were excellent - with speedy replies being especially notable. The kitchen is little but don’t let this fool you, it had everything we needed for a weekend at the beach. Highly recommend this place for a weekend near the beach with views of the sea and a considerate communicative host.

We had a very comfortable 2 night stay at David and Amandas. The unit was spotless and well laid out, the bed and linen was super comfortable. The fridge was well stocked, loved the fruit touch. Thank you for having us!! Kay & John

Wendy was welcoming and great at communicating. The place was exactly as described and perfect for my daughter and me for our two-night stay—comfortable, clean, and in a fantastic location. Just across from stunning Ngunguru Bay and only a few steps from the local dairy, it couldn’t have been more convenient. Wendy was also incredibly accommodating, which we really appreciated!

The house was perfect for the five of us. It has lots of space, the hosts were very generous with the condiments and the space was light, comfortable and really clean and tidy. The wi fi was also brilliant!. While the house is nice and peaceful it is a short drive to the shops and about 10 minutes from the beach. We didn’t find this a problem and Leone and Mark were awesome to deal with.

Nice and central. 100% would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Whangarei. Awesome hosts and a lovely home.

This house is beautifully situated right on the water - at high tide the water reaches the wall. The house is beautifully decorated and feels very homey. With a log fire, a separate granny flat and 3 other good sized bedrooms, we loved our stay here. Would definitely recommend.

Our whānau had a wonderful stay at Rawiri’s Airbnb. Rawiri was exceptionally responsive and helpful throughout our visit. We were truly impressed by his warm hospitality and manaakitanga. The two adjoining properties — which we hadn’t realised were connected — far exceeded our expectations. Everything was clean, modern, and spacious, providing the perfect environment for our whānau to relax and enjoy. Ka nui te mihi ki a koe, Rawiri. We look forward to returning in the future!!!

A great spot for the night. Had everything we needed

Absolutely fantastic! Met our needs even more than we imagined! Teens loved the rumpus rooms and consoles provided! Bedrooms were beautiful, upstairs was an absolute sanctuary! Location is ideal and communication was perfect! Will definitely be back next time we come to mangawhai!

Beautiful spot in Mangawhai, views from the kitchen and lounge areas are amazing. The home was spotless and is the perfect venue for exploring everything that Mangawhai has to offer. Great value for money and I would definitely recommend.

Great place with perky amenities like the Nespresso machine and large TV! Central location but can be a bit noisy for someone sensitive as right next to the main street. Overall we really enjoyed!

This place is just fantastic. Hands down, the best equipped airbnb we’ve ever stayed at. Everything from generous towels to extra duvets to beach towels and umbrellas and a perfectly set up kitchen. It’s spotlessly clean with nice linens and high quality fittings. The views are great with a sea view from every bedroom and the living areas. The bathrooms are spacious and modern and the kitchen is lovely (with a walk in pantry for extra space!). Well positioned between the township and the cove. Lots of nice extra touches like loads of throw blankets for cozying up on the couch, an outdoor shower and plentiful toiletries, laundry supplies and dishwashing supplies. The hosting just felt very generous and thoughtful. Terri is extremely responsive, friendly and easy to deal with. This place was an awesome find and outstanding value for money.
