Holiday rentals with a patio in Winneshiek County

Short, one night stay. All was smooth with check-in and checkout.

Great stay. Location was quiet. I wish we would’ve gotten to stay in the warmer months. I’m sure the views would’ve been even better and the outside space would be great for that. The inside was clean, newly redone when I stayed (from my untrained eye). The welcome sweets were a nice touch! Paula’s instructions for access, parking and everything else were clear and concise. We were fishing and Paula accommodated our need to clean fish in a space that wouldn’t otherwise been available. She did not have to do that for us, but she did. She picked up when I called to inquire about it too. She’s a super-superhost! Don’t hesitate to book her listings. Highly recommended!

Was a perfect spot for my wife and our baby and myself! Amazing location - can’t wait to visit the town again during peak season. Loved the coffee shop right underneath us, and the faint smell of coffee when they opened up :)

The Sparrows Nest was such a calming and cozy place with such unique and detail oriented decor which made it feel like a home. The apartment was right near such a friendly restaurant in downtown Monona. We explored nearby towns in Postville, McGregor and Prairie du Chien which made the trip an adventure too. Tanya was such a gracious and thoughtful host who left homemade delicious chocolate bars as a welcoming gift. The Sparrows Nest is the place to stay in Monona!

Dawn went above any beyond to make my stay comfortable. We were in town for a celebration of life service and she was very caring and helpful. The unit is charming, comfortable and stocked with anything you might need!

We hit a deer on the way to the Airbnb which delayed our arrival by over 2 hours. After all airbags deployed we were very sore and tired. You never know the quality that a bed will be but Nick’s place had a very comfortable bed. It was a nice end to a pretty bad night! We really enjoyed our stay!

We had a great overnight stay at Brittney's place. Brittany was willing to accommodate one of our requests and was very responsive throughout the communication process. The location and amenities were exactly as advertised. The setting was peaceful and we enjoyed watching the variety of animals on site (goats, cats, donkey?). We would not hesitate to stay again! 10 stars!!!!We have been to Decorah quite a few times over the years and had many great stays, but the hospitality and friendliness of Dorothea is above and beyond! She brought over delicious, warm scotcheroos, left the kids money for the fish hatchery (totally recommend), and warmly greeted and chatted with each of my kids. My 5 kids (9 and under) loved the cars/big wheels to ride up and down the driveway, the slide, and the swings. The little house with the pigs and the little turtle family was also a big hit outside. My littles loved waving to the tractors out in the fields, and my dad loved spotting deer early in the morning. So many toys/activities in the house, and they also loved the fun bath toys! My kids asked if we can come back this summer! We had fire alarm incident, and Dorothea and her husband just went above and beyond. I felt so guilty for bothering them late at night, as the issue was not at all their fault. They were just so wonderful. Thank you so much!!

Wonderful place in the downtown district but on a quiet off street. Right across the street from the historic courthouse. Easy to get in and everything worked great. Very clean. Parking was off street so that was good. Will definitely book again if its available.

Would absolutely stay here again without hesitation. Clean and tidy and comfortable! there was information in local restaurants. a full sized fridge ready for action, and coffee readily available. note: the half bath is downstairs, which I think is important to note if people have to consider stairs. I was not expecting the king size bed to be as high up off the ground as it was. I am not a short person, and was able to get into the bed. someone who is more height challenged might need a stool. upon our arrival we did report smoke alarms that were beeping. It did take a little longer than expected for those to be corrected and we were promptly informed when it is (we were away at the time...which was fine).

We came to town for Upper Iowas graduation. The store is more amazing in person, it feels like HOME and is so comfortable. It is decorated so cute. We just love staying here.

From the moment we arrived, everything about this Airbnb was absolutely perfect. The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and exactly as described. They clearly put a lot of thought into every detail. The location was peaceful, yet close to everything we wanted to see and do. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a getaway!

We had an exceptional stay at Erin’s house, it was incredibly clean, in a very quiet neighborhood, and fantastic location. We were within an easy and enjoyable bike ride from downtown and even closer to one of the several biking and hiking trails. Our stay in Erin’s house was very comfy and we would highly recommend her house to future travelers!

The home was exactly what we needed to accommodate two family groups with bedrooms and bathrooms for both. The open kitchen, living room, dining room area was perfect for joint meals. The pretty view of the golf course, and fireplace made this a great spot to visit or relax. The kitchen had a wide variety of pans and cooking equipment for coffee, snacks or meals.

We really enjoyed Barb's place! A small group of us went to the area for Luther College homecoming this year, and Barb made us feel right at home. The place was spacious, beautiful, restful, and in a great location. Barb was an excellent host, very flexible, always responsive, and a joy to work with. Would really like to stay here again sometime! Highly recommended!
