Guest House Kokoro is located one block from Miyajima's Machiya-dori Street.  When you pass through the warm curtain at the entrance, you are guided to the courtyard by stepping stones, with bamboo walls reminiscent of a Kyoto row house restaurant. The courtyard is also beautifully balanced with white marble and gravel, contributing to the calm atmosphere. There are glass doors in the living room that allow you to see the courtyard.  The building is only for guests to stay in through the garden, so there is no need to worry about anyone. From the outside, it is an ordinary private house, but when you step inside, it has a different atmosphere, which is part of the charm of the inn. I heard that the previous owner has always loved gardening and had a wide range of hobbies. However, as I mentioned at the beginning, I didn't intend to start an inn at first, so there is no bath facility (there is a shower). However, you can use the nearby inns as an outdoor bath. The first floor is a living room, and the second floor is a two-room Japanese-style bedroom, and up to 6 people can stay comfortably.  In the courtyard, there is a white stone character "kokoro" (heart) inscribed in the gravel. It was made by the gardener a long time ago for fun, and it is the origin of the name of the inn. It is a pure Japanese-style building built 75 years ago, one of the few existing buildings in Hiroshima City that was built shortly after the war. It is a quiet environment just a step from the main street, and there is a small Japanese-style garden where you can relax. There are also things that only the dance house has, such as a pot that was partially melted by the heat of the Hiroshima atomic bombing on August 6, 1945, and photos from about 100 years ago. Some of the furniture and glass are from more than 70 years ago, and you can feel the Japanese house atmosphere, especially in the two gardens, the floor between the floors, and the study. Three of the five rooms are tatami mat rooms, so lay down a futon on the tatami mats at bedtime. A private rental accommodation limited to one group per day is now open along the coast near Shimonada Station in Iyo City, Ehime Prefecture. The sky and sea spread out before you, as beautiful and blue as you can see. It creates a calm space based on the color of the plaster. You can overlook the Seto Inland Sea, and on the first floor, you can cook in a stylish kitchen while watching the sunset. On the second floor, you can watch the sunset on the terrace and make things. There is one queen sized bed. There is one Koala sofa bed that can be converted to a queen size bed.  There is one double bed on the second floor. It can accommodate up to 4 people. Natural yeast bread and Rodan coffee are included for breakfast. The tableware is the work of Tomoya Sasaki, a potter from Ehime Prefecture, and uses Mustakibi and Ryusen kilns. For towels, we use Iori towels from Imabari Towel. Linen sheets are used. If you need dinner, you can use the adjacent Shioji restaurant, which is for guests only. Transportation to and from the station is free.
