Holiday rentals in Ylä-Pirkanmaa

The Airbnb is on a remote island in a lake, only to be reached by boat. No running water is available, so be aware that you will not have your daily morning shower (but a dip in the lake instead?), a water toilet or you can waste drinking water. Water for doing the dishes and "shower" comes from the lake, drinking water needs to be carried with you or has to be organized. The toilet is a classical outhouse. All this worked well for me, I even enjoyed this style of living for a few days. It gets you back to basics and makes you rethink or value your "normal" style of living. I especially enjoyed the absolute quietness with basically no human made sound. Hannu and Erja are two open-minded and kindhearted people, it was a joy to learn to know them. They let me use their sauna for free, we chatted, had a coffee together and just were good neighbors. I highly appreciate the opportunity they offer through Airbnb for living my dream of "a real Finnish experience". I would totally come back!

Beautiful house and an hour drive away from Tampere. All of us loved the Hot tube and enjoyed a lot. Thanks Jaana

Unique home! Perfect for spending time with a larger group. Amazing decor, lots of charming touches. The enormous large living room and kitchen allowed for a relaxed coexistence, and yet everyone found privacy in the upstairs bedrooms, which were each uniquely and charmingly decorated. It's a pretty long trip to any services, so it's best for a private hangout.

We stayed for one night, the bed was comfortable and we had enough space for everything. The communication was great!

An atmospheric cottage with a sauna and a good location. The boat was an absolute plus, and the dog was very comfortable. Communication worked just like the cottage.

Great cottage in a beautiful location. The windows offer a bunch of views. Even though the cottage doesn't look big, it can accommodate a surprising number of people. We were also a big family of 7 people, including 2 adults and other children. The cottage has almost all the amenities and is missing, you get used to it quickly. Kids, even loved going to the outdoor toilet. Dishwashing this way in the fall is a bit challenging, but you get used to it too. There is a wood sauna on the beach with lovely steam. There's also a lot to sit and enjoy nature's sounds and star flights in the fall. I recommend it to everyone.

We had a wonderful weekend in Juupajoki! The croft was really clean, and as soon as you walked in, it felt cozy and warm. The sauna was well-stocked and you could open from the end of the pier. We also visited Isoniemi Farm, where we met the friendly owners. Thanks so much for a wonderful weekend, we'll definitely be back in the future!
