Just completed, atmospheric and high-quality log semi-detached house on the slope of Lake Ylläs. The location of the property is ideal for outdoor activities: you can access the ski slope directly from the yard and the nearest ski lift is in the backyard (70m). You can ski down directly to the yard of this cottage from the longest ski slope in Finland! There is also a snowshoeing trail to Ylläs fell from the backyard. You can also get by without a car at this location. Welcome to enjoy a peaceful vacation amidst beautiful scenery.

Villa Kaltio: cabin with traditional Finnish sauna

Our small cottage with sauna, located in the center of Äkäslompolo village in Lapland, along the old reindeer trail, is an excellent destination for one or two people. In the sauna of the cottage, you can enjoy the steam of a traditional wood-fired sauna. All the village's services are within walking distance and buses to the airport or train station leave from the courtyard of a nearby hotel a couple of hundred meters away. You can also book breakfast separately from us, which is served in the main building. Welcome!

The unique nature of Ylläs and the activities it offers open right from the front door: an illuminated ski trail runs near the apartment. In the snow-free season, hiking and mountain biking trails run next to the cottage.

Our detached villa on its own plot comfortably sleeps 10 guests in 4-5 sleeping areas, with a cozy living room with panoramic forest view, spacious glass veranda, 2 bathrooms, and sauna. There is also a remote workstation and a carport. The location is great: 200 m to trails, 350 m to ski bus, 800 m to ski lift & ski-in during spring. Bonus: 2 Ylläs ski passes are included in the price winter 2026/27. Enjoy!

The apartment has modern amenities, as well as sheets and towels. Double bed in the bedroom, bunk bed in the alcove (120 cm+80 cm), own fast-heating sauna, own ski storage, bike storage and ski maintenance room in the building. Atmospheric log cabin on the shore of Äkäsjoki. From the windows of the cottage, you can follow the flowing river, which is less than 20 meters away. You can go swimming after the sauna without worrying about the neighbors. This cottage accommodates 7 people at its best, but works best with less than six people. Downstairs you will find a hallway, a kitchen with a great fireplace, a sauna, a shower room, a toilet and a bedroom. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms, both with views of nature.
