Swedish lake house between Vimmerby and Västervik

Just over 15 minutes outside Astrid Lindgren's Vimmerby and about 30 minutes from the coastal town of Västervik, you will find this place with its own garden and beach (shared with the host). The view of the lake creates conditions for wonderful nature experiences - all year round! In winter, lovely fires warm you and in summer, the lake cools you! With a canoe (rented by the host), you can experience Kalmar County's largest lake with only the sound of the paddles heard and have the opportunity to see protected animals, ranging from sea eagles to otters.

Stay in a rural setting in a large house with park-like garden. Suitable for one or more families to stay together (in the same company). 10 beds are included in the basic price - if more are required: ask in booking. Large kitchen with all equipment you could wish for. You have four bedrooms where you can choose how to distribute your number of beds (two downstairs in the file and two separate upstairs). Welcome to Skogshuset Solhaga! Here you can enjoy the tranquility, go on adventures in the forest and discover the typical Småland. The house is newly renovated and has a modern decor. It is located about 25 minutes from Astrid Lindgren's Vimmerby and about 50 minutes from Västervik and the Småland archipelago. It offers all amenities and from the garden leads a path to the magical forest, a place for children and adults, for play and contemplation. Boat in its own small lake is included and child-friendly swimming area can be reached in 10 minutes.

Welcome to rent our cozy cottage in Grönhult with proximity to Vimmerby, Astrid Lindgren's world 23 km and the summer town Västervik 35 km. The cottage is located inside a gravel road with the forest as the nearest neighbor. A nice child-friendly swimming area is five minutes away by car. Two bedrooms. Bathroom with shower (water heater 50l) No drain so it is a combustion toilet. In the kitchen there is a stove, half fridge/freezer and microwave. There is barbecue outside. For outdoor games there is a dartboard, bokia and kubb.

Welcome to Villa Blanche a charming, white, wooden house in Stenberga – Småland. The house offers all comfort you need for a pleasant stay. Enjoy a cozy evening by the wood stove. Here you have lake Saljen close by (2km) where you can swim and fish. There are several walking trails directly from the house. In the beautiful garden we have a fire pit for grill evenings. From spring we will rent out our canoe. Go skiing, visit Astrid Lindgren park, visit a moose park or go down the zippline.

Resource in our cozy cottage, furnished with an eye for warm colors and soft materials. Lilla Stugan is located in the middle of the woods and meadows and has its own bathing area, sauna and boat. It is part of an old Swedish farmhouse on a 10 hectare property located between the lakes Rummelsrum and Hyttegöl. Get to know the rich fauna and flora directly from the terrace or during long walks in the surrounding area. After a dip in the lake, enjoy a barbecue on the attractively lit terrace.

Welcome to a charming farm cottage from the 1880s, just 10 minutes from Vimmerby. Enjoy a rural stay with modern comfort and space for 6 – two sofa beds downstairs, one double and two single beds in the loft. Duvets, pillows, kitchen and toilet towels are included. Bring your own bed linen and towels, or rent for 100 SEK/set. Shower and washing machine in a separate room. Garden, forest and meadows nearby. Bathing spot 2.5 km away. Uncleaned stay will incur a cleaning fee of 500 SEK.

Our summer cottage is located in the middle of Smålands nature near the small community of Locknevi, 27km from Vimmerby. The property is located on a very quiet rural road from where you can take wonderful bike tours and hikes in our picture book landscape. The next lake with a beach is 5 km away and the Baltic Sea is easy to reach by car. Excursions: e.g. Astrid Lindgren's birthplace, Astrid Lindgren's world, many film locations and Västervik on the archipelago

The farmhouse in Mariannelund

Welcome to Drängstugan! A charming, tastefully renovated house with a lot of space, in the middle of the Småland forest, 7 km from Mariannelund. Similar to the farmhouse Emil's friend Alfred lived in, but much more modern inside 😁 It is a large leafy plot that is shared with the host's house. Nice to just enjoy the house, sit by the patio or walk in the forest. A bit away along the gravel road, you have magnificent views.
