The apartment (45m²+ private patio) is located on the banks of the Saône, a 5-minute walk from the historic old Lyon district. Located on the 1st floor (no elevator), hillside of an old building on the bank of the Saône river, the building corridor is a little rustic (17th century). The apartment has been fully redesigned, keeping its authenticity. I made it my refuge, away from the hustle and bustle of Lyon. However, this place is not to everyone’s taste 😊. I describe later the pros & cons.

Charming studio hyper center 1 min place Terreaux

The lower slopes are a very festive and lively neighborhood. You will find excellent bars, restaurants, museums within walking distance. The ground floor consists of a sitting area, fully equipped kitchen and a toilet area with washing machine. The double bed, shower and bathroom area are on the mezzanine. The apartment is 20 m2 on the ground floor plus 10 m2 on the mezzanine with a minimum of 1.80 m under the beam. So be careful if you're over 1.80 m :)

For a short or long stay, you will be in the historic heart of Lyon in this apartment that my wife and I renovated for 6 months until February 2021. It is located on the top floor -with a view - in a typical building, dating from the 19th century, 100 m from Place des Terreaux and Hôtel de Ville de Lyon, less than 200 m from the metro station "Hôtel de Ville" and the main bus lines (C3) , and about 5 minutes from Vieux Lyon on foot.

The apartment is located in a typical alley in the neighborhood: a traboule. Two driveway entrances with the same digicode 151A6 allow you to access it: - 2nd floor of Rue Mottet de Gerando - 4th floor of Bodin Street. There is a very friendly and respectful neighborhood life. There may be different reasons to stay in Lyon, but when you choose the Croix-Rousse hill in particular, it's that you like to walk the urban cobblestone!
