Holiday rentals with a kayak in Alexandria

Our group of 9 adults and 4 children, ages 4 and under, had a wonderful time at this spacious home. There were so many spaces to be, inside and out. We used the pontoon, played badminton in one part of the lawn and brought a cornhole game for another part. The kids loved the playground and small rock area underneath... actually less messy than sand. Carolyn told us about another huge playground about a 10-minute drive away that me & my husband went to look at and it was awesome! For all ages of kids and a huge beautiful beach and a walking/scooter? path and bathrooms right there too. And a ping-pong table! So much to do! Had a fire at night, looking out at lake. Beautiful sunset. We brought a fishing boat and they were able to catch bass, northern, and nice sunnies. Nice big lake with beautiful houses to look at on a ride around it on the pontoon. Couldn't have asked for any more! Highly recommend!

The house was absolutely beautiful! I do wish the dock was up but it must’ve not been up due to the April month. The hosts were very kind and offered a late checkout when we asked. Everything was well stocked and the house was very spacious, will definitely book again for a summer!

Amazing property! We kayaked the lake, sat by a fire and just enjoyed the Minnesota weather. We will definitely be back. The host is super responsive and accommodating. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a family friendly AirBNB

Amazing house for a large group! We had 14 people staying here plus two dogs and it worked really well. The back yard is peaceful and beautiful, and a portion is fenced for the dogs which they enjoyed! The large porch out back was fun for grilling one of our nights. Kitchen is a little small but very well appointed with pots/pans etc, we had no issues cooking all our meals for the weekend here. Plenty of parking either at the property or across the street, we had 8 cars and no issues. An easy walk into town from here for shopping and hitting up the local brewery which had an amazing patio! Overall we would stay again and recommend it for a large group of adults traveling together. Especially for the size of the place for the price, this will certainly beat a hotel experience.

We have a friend group of 10 adults and growing growing children. To find a place that fits all of us comfortably is a challenge, but this place was the perfect size. We had multiple places to hang out and we weren’t on top of each other. We will definitely be back again!

This was a perfect space for a friend board game weekend. The house was spacious for everyone and the backyard and lake view was beautiful.

If you're considering Brett and Shelly's place - BOOK IT! I stayed for just one night with a group of women and when it was time to leave, we all agreed that our only regret was not staying longer. The house was beautiful and airy, the couches and bedrooms were perfectly cozy, and the lakefront access with kayaks was the cherry on top. We cooked a couple of meals and anything we forgot to specifically bring we were able to find in the kitchen. The check-out instructions were clear and minimal which is always a plus. I also want to specifically thank Brett and Shelly for being so responsive and flexible with our group when it came to checking in and out. Multiple people in our party said they would earmark this listing for future trips with our groups in their lives.

A colorful and stunning retreat filled with character.

We loved staying in one of the cottages. Very clean and comfortable. We lucked out that things weren't very busy the weekend we visited so it was incredibly quiet. Even on a busier weekend, it still would be a great place, lots of space to explore. The beach was very nice with paddle boats, paddle boards and kayaks up for grabs. Amy and Tim were excellent hosts and quick to respond to questions. The cottage had a larger-than-average mini fridge with freezer, microwave, and coffee pot. We did assume that it would have well water (which is perfectly fine to drink, but an acquired taste) so we brought a 5 gallon jug for drinking water, just an fyi. We will definitely be visiting again!

I've been coming to Spitzer to fish for a few years, and let me tell you this property is beautiful! If you're coming to take a fishing trip, this could be right up your alley. 10 mins from the launch and the sunrises and sunsets were great! We ended up switching to a cabin, and Amy and her team handled it with ease. They were very easy to communicate with if you needed anything. Don't hesitate to book here!

It was a great 3 bedroom cabin. Close to State Park and town with great restaurants. Spent one day in Fergus Falls with lots of fun shopping and places to eat. The beach was very rocky at the cabin, so make sure and bring water shoes.

The place was a great price for all the things included. We had a lot of fun and the host was very responsive. Loved the swing for my kids and the outdoor deck also a cool watershow in walking distance from home. Inside the downstairs was wonderful for the most part very cutesy, only problem I had was when I arrived the downstairs bedroom was a little damp but the dehumidifer was turned on and Windows opened and it was fine the rest of the time. Also maybe add some curtains into the living room downstairs for more privacy. Upstairs was great floors are a little odd but overall an amazing experience. Would stay again!

We had a wonderful time at Mary's Place. The charming home was spacious and easily accomadated our group. The access to the water was perfect and the lake is great. We would definitely recommend this property.

This use to be a summer camp that they've purposed into the airbnb, so there's lots of space. I was the only person staying on the property while I was there and it was great for a secluded retreat to think. I loved how isolated it was and peaceful.

Such an incredible space to stay!! The porch was perfect for the late night conversations, the lake was perfect for the kiddos, and the amenities in the house were exactly what we needed. The only thing they didn’t have that we had to buy was seasoning for cooking.

We had a wonderful weekend away. The space was so comfortable and well equipped. Hannah is a great host! We will be back!

Our stay was for a weekend over MEA. It was just what we needed to get away from the normal busy jobs and school. My girls loved the screened in porch where we could take in the fall air yet be warm and “no bugs!” per my 7 year old. Everyone loved the sauna too. It’s a very nice place and it was very clean. We’d definitely stay here again. Thanks again!

My family and I truly enjoyed our trip to Scott's property. The house fit our big crew quite well. The beds were very comfortable. The kids loved the fun spaces in the house. The location was beautiful and peaceful. While there is a lot of vegetation along the lakeshore, there is a decent beach, and some shallow water that the smallest kids were able to enjoy. For the bigger kids, we brought the lily pad out to the middle of the lake, and they had a blast with that. The outdoor living space was great! Scott was friendly, helpful, responsive.

Beautiful getaway in north central MN. The fall colors over the lake were breathtaking and the cabin was the perfect retreat for a group of friends. Spent nights around the bonfire swapping stories. Would definitely recommend. Ev was so responsive and very pleasant to communicate with, too.

Lobster Lake Lodge EXCEEDED our expectations! We had a fantastic weekend with our extended family- from toddler to great-grandparents. The decks added on are such an easy way to enjoy the lake view. We played games, had a campfire, watched a football game, went out on the paddle boat, walked in the road to enjoy the fall colors- a wonderful extended weekend- and you made it easy.
