Place was exactly as described, really spacious perfectly laid out. Kitchen was well stocked allowing us to cook and have family meals. Great walk down to the local restaurant and enter the main city centre. Neighbours roundabout really friendly and recommended lots of lovely walks. Overall, a really great stay and will definitely be back

A fabulous spacious house that’s tastefully decorated/furnished throughout. Very comfy beds! There is a courtyard in the rear that’s a lovely sun trap. Walkable to the local pub, which serves great food. The road outside can be a little busy, but you get used to it. Clare was always quick to respond to any questions and queries. We would definitely recommend.

We had such a relaxing holiday, the cottage is exactly as described, had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful and very peaceful with plenty of wildlife right on the doorstep. The little beck at the bottom of the garden was just fantastic for our daughter and dog! The location is so close to many busier parts of the Lakes but with lots to explore close by too. A great little retreat! Thank you for having us and we won’t hesitate to recommend Humphrey Cottage.

The cottage itself was cozy and well-equipped, with thoughtful touches like welcome biscuits and books to read, even ones for the children. The living area was comfortable, and both bedrooms were clean and nicely furnished. The bathroom is decorated beautifully and the shower is nice and powerful. The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay, though the dining area was a bit snug for five people. Overall, it’s a great spot for couples or small families looking for a relaxing break with nature right on the doorstep. We'd happily return!
