2 Bedroom Rural Cottage
Found this place perfect the first retreat alone for my Wife and I after having kids whilst being able to bring our dogs. The house and surroundings are beautiful and though I was worried beforehand about the gardens and stream with the dogs I needn't have; the decking had a devide to separate the dogs from the main garden with ample room for them to roam or bask in the sun as well as great access to walks through the gardens behind the house which was well suited for pets. Amazing stay.

Jack's Cottage, Curbar
We had an amazing stay in the cottage. It was a perfect base to hike from, the Curbar edge is incredible! Would recommend having a car as there’s not a lot in the village. For us, that was exactly what we wanted, peace and quiet! And the spa was the perfect way to relax after a long day of walking. Highly recommend!

Luxury Peak District Cottage with Hot Tub
If you're considering this, just book it! Great place, warm and clean with everything you could need. We felt very welcome, beautiful farm with animals and an orchard. Setting is great, 25 mins to Sheffield but 30 seconds to incredible countryside. If you want a relaxed place to explore the peaks, this ticks all the boxes. Already thinking about returning.

cosy, romantic cottage with hot tub
We had such a lovely stay at this beautiful Airbnb. The one-bedroom space was incredibly spacious and well laid out, with a super comfy bed that made it hard to leave in the morning! The private garden was huge and perfect for relaxing, especially with the hot tub—it felt like our own little retreat. The area is peaceful and quiet, which made the whole stay even more relaxing. Highly recommend for a cosy, private getaway!

Jacks Cottage with hot tub & Alpaca Walking
We had a fantastic short break in Peak District and Jack's cottage was the perfect place to stay. Very quiet, peaceful spot in the lovely village of Brassington, but central if you're looking to visit Matlock, Bakewell and Buxton. The cottage was very clean, well maintained and had everything you need - including robes for when you get out of the hot tub! We didn't find parking an issue at all, with plenty of street parking just up the hill towards the Miners Arms pub. Speaking of pubs, the Miners Arms (which is the closest pub to the cottage) appeared to have closed down, but we'd highly recommend The Old Gate Inn which is a little further (3-less than 5 min walk), but has large garden, good ales and great food. Natalie and her husband are friendly, quick to respond to any queries and offered advice on local walks and places to go. Would love to stay at Jack's cottage again, perhaps in the winter with the log burner going!

Peaceful cottage in Parwich village with hot tub
Just had a fantastic short break in this Parwich cottage. Stunning gardens and surroundings. The cottage has everything you need and more. We parked the car and from the cottage cycled the High Peak and Tissington Trails. Warm and cosy accommodation set in a quiet village with a great pub 2 minutes away. Caroline is a genuine host with your comfort and convenience always a priority. The photographs don’t do this cottage justice. It really is a beautiful place. What can be better after a good walk or cycle than visit the pub then end the evening looking at the stars from the hot tub in the garden ? We will certainly be back, the sooner the better. Many thanks Caroline. We had a super time.

The Old Coach House, Wheatsheaf Mews
We had a lovely time at the cottage. Jennie was very welcoming and gave us good advice on places to visit and how to make our stay more homely. We had lots of space inside and outside the house. The hot tub was awesome especially after a long day of adventuring! We didnt really go out to eat but we did Have enough space for our BBQ. I would definitely come back. Tibshelf was great too lots of friendly neighbours and locals. Definitely would recommend!

Beautiful, private 2 bedroom Annex with Hot Tub
A real gem tucked away off the main road going into Bakewell. Generously sized bedrooms and a great outside space when the sun shines. We loved the hot tub after long walks and found everything we needed in the kitchen. There’s an Aldi just down the road and parking for 2 cars. Highly recommend.

17th century cottage in Matlock
We had a lovely time staying in Jane's house (5 adults, 1 four-year-old). The house is bigger than you'd expect from the photos, especially the kitchen, which made prepping meals very easy, and some of the bedrooms. The beds are comfortable and the house is cosy and warm. There are lots of beautiful walks nearby (we'd particularly recommend Robin Hood's Stride - great for kids). We felt right at home here and would happily come back again!

Peak District village cottage with stunning views
We enjoyed a wonderful 3 night stay and were blessed with the most beautiful weather. The location of the cottage was ideal and the lounge and garden enjoy spectacular views over the valley and hills. The accommodation makes maximum use of the space and is functional and extremely comfortable. There was plenty of room for our party of 4 adults and the convenience of shops, pubs and cafes only minutes walk away made the location ideal. Parking outside the cottage was a little tricky and we were happy to use the car park at the top of the village, only a few minutes walk away. The suggested rates are minimal and can be paid online or via an honesty box.

Chatsworth Cottage, Little Longstone
Sam and Annie's cottage was a lovely location to spend 8 days as a family of three (including with a 9 month old baby). It included a large and very comfortable bed, a cot in a separate room for our baby, and everything needed in the kitchen to be able to make a meal. They were very helpful at making sure we had everything we needed for the baby (e.g. high-chair, baby bath, etc) and were very responsive to any questions that came up during our stay. The cottage is in a lovely spot, with walks right on its doorstep, and Monsal Head a short 5 minute walk away. The local pub is also excellent (ensure to make a reservation). We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Cosy stylish country cottage with log burner
Lovely place, ideally located. Beds very comfy. Log burner was great and kicked out a lot of heat. Great pub a stones throw and a chippy. Nice touches with the bath salts and lovely smelling soap. DON’T forget your towels!

Hartington village cottage with 2 parking spaces!
This was our second visit to this lovely cosy cottage which is comfortable and well equipped. This time the weather allowed us to enjoy the lovely outdoor space which was a sun trap. The cottage is walking distance to the village centre amenities and both the Devonshire arms and Charles Cotton Pubs. We returned to enjoy the cycling in the area and it is very close to both the Tissington trail and the start of the Manifoild trail at Hulme End. The garage was a big plus to store our E-bikes and cycle carrier safely and securely.

Cosy Little Cottage in the Peak District
This place is situated in the most amazing place with views all around of the local area. It is peaceful and quiet and truly breathtaking. I only wish I could live somewhere like this permanently.

Harry Eyre Cottage, Castleton, Peak District
We had a lovely 4 nights stay at the cottage with our two dogs. The cottage was clean and we had everything we would need for our stay, including wood for the log burner. The enclosed garden was a nice place to sit and enjoy wonderful views and to watch the sunset with a glass of wine. Castleton is only a 15min walk along a footpath from the rear of the cottage and there are plenty of places to eat and drink in the village. We will definitely be back soon. Highly recommended 👌

Traditional Cottage on a Working Hill Farm
Shireoaks is a traditional and well appointed cottage set within the beautiful countryside of Derbyshire. The bedroom views are stunning. The cottage has everything you need for a fantastic stay, comfortable beds, en-suite showers and a family bathroom. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped, a nice sized dining room and lounge. There are beautiful walks in the hills on the doorstep and lovely places to eat in the nearby towns. It’s a perfect place for friends and family gathering in a special location. We enjoyed the outside dining area and the fire pit in the orchard, plus the use of the wood-burner in the lounge. Having an Aga was a great addition to the cottage and would be welcome in a winter booking making the kitchen area very warm and cosy. Thank you Jill for opening up your wonderful home for us to enjoy.
Private cottage rentals

West Croft, the Relaxing, Quiet, Homely Cottage.
Had a fantastic long weekend in West Croft cottage. The cottage is finished to a very high standard and had everything that you could possibly need and more. The outside spaces were also of an equally high standard with plenty of areas to sit and follow the sun. Nice walk from the house through the village and down to the river. Would definitely recommend

Two Gates Cottage Self Catering
A few restful days spent here was a real treat - cosy and warm

SnapTin - a lovely cottage in beautiful Bakewell
We stayed as part of our Peak Pilgrimage journey and couldn't have had a better place to rest our weary legs. It was welcoming, Helen had left stuff in the fridge for us, clean and homely. it is decorated beautifully and in a beautiful spot. it is up a hill, but even after 34 miles, that was fine. the beds were very comfy and the toiletries were outstanding. a great deal of care has gone into making it homely and environmentally friendly. we thoroughly enjoyed it and would gladly recommend it, or stay there again if visiting Bakewell

Hidden Cottage for Two in Staffordshire
Clear and detailed instructions from Joanne as to how to get to the property, very friendly and responsive. Really clean, quality furnishings, spotlessly clean. Perfect location for Alton Towers, where we were going and way better value than others nearby. Thank you x

Rustic Cottage with private garden
Great place to stay whilst we had our bathroom done. We could get to work easily - great transport links (train and road). Very quiet location and cottage was really well stocked. Within walking distance (with paths along the road) for : great pub food at the Golden Pheasant, local honey (10 min walk away) and village store. We also did some great local walks too.

The Milking Parlour, 1 bedroom luxury cottage
We had a lovely stay at the Milking Parlor over Easter. Great spot with amazing views. The cottage was well equiped, comfy bed and everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We visited Bakewell, Haddon hall & did a 6 mile loop around Chatsworth, its estate & villages on a lovely sunny Easter Sunday.

Delightful old stone cottage
Had a brilliant Easter Weekend at Rods cottage! We were able to park our car and get in and out of Winster easily as needed. Loved the Miners & Bowling Green pubs for meals and drinks, an easy walk to and from the cottage. Enjoyed the gorgeous garden when the sun cleared up, beautiful outlook. The cottage itself was exactly the English Countryside Experience us Aussies were after, so beautiful, well kept, and well decorated. Would definitely come back to Winster!!!! The only thing I'd say is remember to duck if you're over 5'11 as we knocked heads a couple of times in the doorways downstairs!

Character cosy cottage
Fabulous stay in a fabulous cottage! Hosts were 10/10 - flexible, communicative, responsive and friendly! They really went above and beyond. Would definitely recommend a stay!
