We had a great time at Marco's place and his friend. We were well received by Sajeeva, who was very hospitable. He gave us nice tips and was always nearby if there should be anything. The rooms were great and the interior was very well done. The kids loved the place and felt very safe. The best thing about the stay was that we contributed to the great project they run. I think it's absolutely amazing that they give children the opportunity to go to school. I will definitely be back and want to monitor the development of the school and the new cafe. I hope you set up a fundraiser where people can contribute. Thanks for us😊

We (family of four with young kids) came across this house and loved it, but it didn’t have a bed for our one year old daughter, so we sent Vic a message and he went out of his way to find one. Great start! When we got there, the house was even better than the pictures give away: private villa on the quiet outskirts of Ahangama, but a five minute tuk tuk ride will get you to the town’s centre where all the restaurants and such are. Modern bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, nice kitchen and living room, beautiful pool, huge patio with a roof over it, monkeys in the trees in the morning etc. etc. I contacted Vic several times during our stay and always got quick replies with great advice - places to eat, tuk tuk drivers, surf coach and places to see. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again myself some day!

We traveled as a group of 6 to Villa Acres Green for a one-night getaway. The place was truly beyond our expectations and the pictures don’t do justice to the place! The property is spacious and gives you a sense of seclusion from the rest of the world. The vast garden is scattered with lots of trees, a pond and a well maintained lawn with benches and hammocks for a nice evening chill. The pool is much bigger than you’d expect and was clean. The tiles in the pool are starting to break so a little caution would be advised. We opted to get our food prepared at the property. The BBQ dinner was excellent, but the Sri Lankan breakfast (kiri bath) was only average. It’s possible that the food maybe a hit of miss in our experience. The rooms were nice; spacious and clean! The A/C cooled well which was more than appreciated since the days were scorching! All in all, we had a fantastic experience at the property and would highly recommend it to anyone travelling to Hikkaduwa.

We had a nice time. The garden is huge and the house was clean and we had a lot of space as a family. You can explore the surroundings on foot. Restaurants, supermarkets and the beach can be explored on foot. A great neighborhood and most importantly a very calm one. We felt very comfortable and would come back anytime. The family even made us breakfast in the morning, which was incredibly delicious. We are very sad to have to go and keep the house in beautiful memory . See you soon , Anna and Tim

Beautiful villa with abundant space, verandah-style living, a great pool, and spotlessly clean. A short tuk-tuk ride away from Galle Fort and 10 minutes to the beaches of Unawatuna. The villa itself whilst in quite a busy part, enables a highly peaceful and relaxing holiday. We spent just over a week there and the caretaker (Fayas) went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, and the chef (Rizwan) cooked us numerous and varied breakfasts, allowing us to sample delicious traditional food we’d not had before. Check in and out during very early morning due to flight times were also accommodated. Overall we had a great holiday at the villa and would highly recommend.

Amazing Stay – Highly Recommended! We had a fantastic time at this villa! The property was clean, beautifully maintained, and exactly as described in the listing. The ambiance was peaceful and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The rooms were spacious, the amenities were top-notch. Chef Sammy’s food was superb! Very accommodating and he catered to our requirement without a hesitation and Thari was so helpful and made sure that we had everything we needed throughout our stay. We would definitely love to come back and highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a perfect holiday experience!

The stay was absolutely wonderful. The villa is stunning. Sanjeeva is the caretaker and is absolutely fantastic, so helpful in ever way. The location is quite rural which made it feel secluded but in a lovely way. thanks

We really loved staying here. The house was spacious, nice big bedrooms and beds and the best feature was the pool looking straight onto a clean, empty, beautiful beach. We spent hours on the terrace and in the pool. Martin was always quick to respond and Mr. Sampath and the staff at the villa were always very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and the Sri Lanka curry option on the menu was most enjoyable. I’d strongly recommend Villananda to anyone thinking of booking.

We had the most wonderful stay at Etamba House. This Geoffrey Bawa inspired property is beautiful and even better than the photos suggest. The rooms are huge and tastefully decorated with an elegant nod to Sri Lanka's past. The bathrooms are inside/outside with beautiful showers and plenty of space. The service from Michael and Shehan was exceptional. Breakfast is different each day with a set menu but they're flexible to your requests. the dinner that Talakshi prepares is wonderful (the portions are huge!). Can't say anything bad about this place. Go and stay there. Enjoy this beautiful home and the peace and quiet that surrounds it.

We had a great time at Raki’s place. It was a nice and peaceful villa located at a secluded place. We loved the swimming pool, the privacy and also the cozy rooms. The staff including Isuru were responsive and friendly and went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable. Highly recommended, specially for group stays.

We were 2 couples travelling together. Sashike & his beautiful wife welcomed us. Fabulous villa walking distance to some lovely restaurants. We got a Tuk Tuk to turtle beach in Talpe around 5 mins away - get there just after 9am to feed these gorgeous creatures. Would highly recommend staying here!

I had a lovely night stay here at birds paradise cabana. It was soo peaceful and the surroundings beautiful. Malitha was friendly and helpful throughout the stay. I loved the outdoor shower. Would highly recommend and plan on coming back in the future!

Our stay with Duminda was absolutely perfect. We were the first guests in the second new cabana, which was completely brand new and spotlessly clean. Duminda was a welcoming host who assisted us with all our questions and suggested great activities in the area. The breakfast was also excellent. We highly recommend staying here!

Had a great time staying here - the house is big, aircon and fans work well (also great to have a portable fan in the kitchen). Internet was great and handled simultaneous virtual meetings without any problem, when it slowed down one day Kasun quickly responded and fixed it in moments. The family invited us over for their New Year celebrations which was lovely and they were super helpful and responded quickly when we had an issue with the fridge. it's a bit up a hill in a more quiet local area so we rented bicycles to get around. Monkeys come to visit the yard and lots of different birds. Little convenience store just next door is also super convenient for water, milk, eggs and other basics (also lovely people!). Highly recommended !

Big house, 2 kitchens, 3 bed rooms

Shamila wasn't present personally but he ensured all the things are in place :) His mother was very helpful and considerate. We used the utensils and tried to make as less dirty as possible :P Location is spot on, away from hustle-bustle of the town and close to the bus stop. We will recommend the stay for all our friends :)

What a fab villa! Beautifully laid out, Bawa style decor, functional, views are fab, so are the small ocean pools in a private area. We loved it!

Piumi and her family are very nice people. During our stay there I unfortunately had stomach problems and the family did everything they could to make me feel better. They are honest, lovable people. Piumi and her dad speak good English so there was no problem communicating either. Her mum prepared delicious food for breakfast or dinner and always had a kind gesture or two towards us. There is a beautiful jungle around the house where monkeys were jumping every morning, but we also saw a mongoose and a monitor lizard in the garden. The bathroom has good hot water, which is quite unique in Sri Lanka. I can only recommend them if you want an authentic Sri Lankan experience! Thank you truly for everything and hope to see you in the near future.

Shamil was responsive and helpful. We were in a bit of situation to find last minute accommodation. Shamil was helpful to enable the check in at 10pm. This was a huge relief for us. A great host!
