“Beautiful place near Amboseli National Park. The staff is very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The lounge overlooking the waterhole is just amazing. In the evening we were enjoying a glass of wine there when a group of 7 elephants came to drink. There is a light at the waterhole to be able to see the animals at night. The three tents are also very nice, each with an bathroom (with cold water) in the tent, but there is also a shared bathroom with a bucket shower and the staff helped with filling the bucket with warm water in the morning and evening. Besides visiting the Amboseli National Park we also visited a Maasai village with the help of one of the Maasai security guards of the camp. Wish we could have stayed longer.”
Maasai Simba Camp is ideal for local safaris to Amboseli National Park. The camp features comfortable rooms, a restaurant, a mini bar, and an outdoor swimming pool. Rooms include a private bathroom and free toiletries. WiFi and private parking is available for free. Booking includes full board (3 meals a day), walking safari in a pristine landscape and exclusive cultural experience with the Maasai. This is the place you can walk with giraffes. A perfect place for people who love the outdoors.
“Staying here is different from any other place we've visited in Kenya(and we've tried all ranges of accommodation from self-catering to luxury camping). We love how we are able to get close to the land and to the people in this camp. We stayed three nights and enjoyed the down-to-earth vibe, fantastic meals, how there was a nice balance between activities and downtime to be by ourselves; we had already visited Amboseli on our own steam so we were looking for a different kind of experience for our children. I think it's important to understand that when you visit the Maasai Simba Camp, you are not just a paying tourist but a guest of the community. The staff here makes every effort to see that you are welcomed, comfortable and that your experience is as rich and interesting as possible. Our family of four(children ages 12 and 15) was pleasantly surprised at all the diverse experiences offered to us--the daily nature walks, meeting the Maasai elders, buying beadwork from women's cooperative, local school visit, touring a Maasai home, fire pits in the evenings. Everyone was friendly and genuine; our encounters felt more like cultural exchanges instead of a "cultural show" that some hotels stage(which I find disrespectful to the local people ). The whole experience was authentic and special. Both Tom and Kwenia took us on nature walks and these were probably our favorite activities of all because we love being able to hear the birds, see plants up close, smell the wild basil, and see animals as part of their world. I think of all our excursions here in Kenya, this camp experience was the most memorable.”
On one of the most beautiful places of the world, on the foot of the Majestic Mount Kilimanjaro, in the middle of the nature, wildlife and Maasai community. We have water from our own well, energy from the sun and the wind and the meals we serve are from vegetables, fruits, eggs and milk from our own farm. We are looking forward to meet you and we can take you for a walk, motorbike tour or a safari in Amboseli NP, ect. Our ready campsite tents have matrasses, pillows, bedsheets and blankets.
“If you want to experience Maasai culture and be close to wildlife, this is a fantastic place to stay. The views of Mt Kilimanjaro are amazing, the food is great, its quiet, Wilson and the others are great hosts and make you feel at home.”
