Our Curious | Opossum Hollow

Welcome to Opossum Hollow in the quaint mountain town of Travelers Rest! Our partially restored 1984 Airstream Excella, lovingly referred to as `Possum Holler', is situated on the same property as our home. With a covered space for parking and a 35 foot skylight deck, this outdoor space is designed for cool evening lounging and warm afternoon napping. We worked with a number of local artisans to design and create the entire space, ensuring most every element is handmade, upcycled, and recycled!

Take it easy at our renovated 1973 Airstream in Hot Springs, NC surrounded by nature and farm animals. Panther Branch Farm sits on 30 acres of lush mountainous terrain with streams, waterfalls and hiking trails to explore. On our small farm we have chickens, bees, goats, and alpacas that love to be hand-fed. Unwind in our outdoor spa, with a sauna and a natural spring water bath or simply relax and take in the peaceful views of the National Forest from the front door of this beautiful Airstream.

Perched 15 feet up in the Tennessee woods, The Treehouse is where you come to celebrate something — an anniversary, a proposal, a birthday, or just the fact that you finally stopped. Hand-built by Amish craftsmen with an 1848 front door and 100-year-old stained glass, it pairs a cast iron claw-foot tub for two, a king bed, and a private hot tub under the stars with full access to a sauna, cold plunge, and more. 1 hour from Nashville, 15 minutes from Cookeville. Just far enough to feel gone.

We have a Wolf, don't be alarmed she is as friendly as can be and will greet you and escort you to the cabin. If you like nature, animals, walking in the forest, cuddling up by the wood stove, then this is the place for you. The cabin is surrounded by gorgeous perennial gardens. Tucked away in the woods on a historic Eastern Shore farm lies this stunning Airstream retreat 10 mins from Cape Charles. The 1969 Airstream has been converted into a contemporary studio with all the comforts of a luxury hotel room. Wake up to the birds singing in the trees that completely surround the huge front deck. Take a walk on our trails. Enjoy watching the animals. Take a trip into Cape Charles for restaurants and shopping, then enjoy a movie in the Airstream at night.

Majestic private waterfront Tipi * on a lake. Quiet nature oasis with hot tub, woodstove, firepit, modern grill, and all the essentials. Ice skate or xc-ski across the frozen lake and watch the bald eagles fly overhead, or relax in the Adirondack chairs in front of the bonfire while you make smores and cook dinner on the grill or over the open fire, then snuggle up inside the tipi while you listen to vintage vinyl and let the owls hoot you to sleep. *Tipi closed March-April.

Cozy Retreat in the Trees

Time travel to 1958 in this architectural gem! This mid-century modern glass and wood cabin is 300 yards away from a charming small lake. The house is NOT on the lake itself, but it is surrounded by trees in a lovely secluded spot. The only heat is a wood stove... but there is a 4-person cedar barrel sauna in the woods that is electric. A classic 1952 Spartanette travel trailer serves as an extra bedroom. This is a true retreat for romance and adventure.

Located 1.5 mi from The Natchez Trace and 4 mi from Leiper’s Fork Village.
