Our Afrizell house is located in the middle of Appenzell, in Ried, the oldest cooperative settlement in Europe. Four minutes' walk from the train station, seven minutes' walk from the lively village center, with private garden and stylish décor - pure relaxation. The house is the starting point for hikes and winter sports in the Alpstein, museum visits and forest walks. Everything is easily accessible by Appenzell train or the Rufbus [on-call bus]. The house impresses with a spacious swing which is kept very close to nature. For children, there are various play options in and around the house.

Please note: From the parking lot, you can walk relatively steeply up the hill to the beautifully located bungalow on the edge of the forest for about 100 m.

Just the thing for a cozy weekend for two or alone in the middle of nature!! An extensive organic shop in the nearby farmhouse is always open for late arrivals. If you are looking for luxury in the traditional sense, the Bird's Nest is not the right place. The luxury of the bird's nest is the wonderful simplicity.
