Monthly Rentals in Backbarrow

This was a lovely place to stay for 2 nights while we attended a wedding in the area. We brought our dog with us. Towels and biscuits were supplièd for her. The place was very comfortable and spotless clean with lots of little touches left for us lovely Biscuits etc. Tea coffee milk and chocolate bunnies. It was finished to a high standard. Amy was very friendly, although we didn't see a lot of her as we were out most of the time. We wouldn't hesitate to book this place again. Thanks again Amy and Family. Andrea and Brian and Darcey.

really lovely place to stay in the Lake District. The accommodation is modern, clean and reasonably spacious (it can sleep 5 but dining table is small and can only fit 4). But the bedrooms are nice with super comfortable beds, and both bathrooms are right next to each bedroom, which is really handy . The kitchen is well equipped with a washer/dryer too which we didn't use but great to know it's there for the future. Only improvements I could suggest is to include a coffee machine ( which every Airbnb property we've stayed at has had and are cheap but great for guests who enjoy a decent coffee in the morning), and for the TV to have terrestrial channels. It was a smart TV so it was great being able to connect our Netflix account to, but this and catch-up was all that was available. These are minor points as neither would stop us returning. Louise and team were very responsive to our queries which was great. We'll definitely return soon and can recommend this place.

if you're looking for high quality accommodation, peaceful surroundings and somewhere you can truly relax, this is the place for you. No stone has not been unturned to cater for your every need. There's plenty to do on the doorstep with a beautiful spa just up the road, a local pub called the Anglers Arms that served the most delicious food, a steam train and a boat ride away from lake Windermere and it's not far to alot of different places offering a vast array of different food & drink, walk and cycle options. Lee and Wendy are everything you'd want hosts to be, very informative, helpful, welcoming and full of local recommendations and knowledge.

Had an amazing stay at the cottage, it was a real find and ticked all the boxes for our little break. The setup was perfect with everything we needed, cosy and quaint and in easy access of the shops within a 10 min drive. The train station was just next door and was perfect to be able to walk there when having a day out at Lakeside with the kids - they loved it. We loved the games room even thought it was freezing, but thats just down to the time of year. Bedrooms all great sizes, nice big comfy beds and the games and puzzles were a nice touch. We look forward to staying again in the future.
