“Staying with this family in their lovely home was simply wonderful! Despite the fear of the Coronavirus spreading we were welcomed into their home. We were extremely well cared for and nourished - physically and emotionally. we felt safe and at home. The house and rooms are really comfortable and it is very well located. The village is a 5 minute peaceful walk - a typical small village but with ATM, Supermarket and local markets selling fresh produce and fish. The beach is also very close and almost deserted. It is beautiful but the breakers can be a challenge if you’re not a strong swimmer. I can recommend the Sweet Pea without any hesitation- how lucky we were to have stayed here and enjoyed lovely food and discussions.”

“We stayed at White Villa for a month and it was perfect! We have a second floor of the White Villa (with a separate entrance) for our own. The place is full of light and air, inside you have everything we needed for living, the kitchen is fully equipped. White Villa is situated in a calm streets of a small villadge - Ambalangoda. Neighbours are very nice and friendly. The Villa is 10 minutes walking to the supermarket and 15 minutes to the beach. And of course much faster on a bike. Note that Ambalangoda is not a very touristic place, so don't expect many restaurants and tourictic shops here. However, it is only 20 minutes on bike or tuk-tuk from Hikkaduwa, so it was more than okay for us. Plus the road from Amabalangoda to Hikkaduwa is really beautiful with all the sea views, we really enjoyed it a lot. Lalith is a superhost indeed! He met us very late at night in our cheking in, helped with renting a bike, treated us with bananas and avocados from his garden. He always stayed in touch with us, quickly responded to any messages. Many thanks to him for a warm welcome! Recommend this place for everyone!”
Our green oasis is located in a rural area between Ambalangoda and Balapitiya, 3 minutes walk from the beach. The proximity to large rivers and the sea result in a special bird wealth. Approximately 30 species have already been identified by us. The house is therefore mainly aimed at nature lovers. The bustling tourist town of Hikkaduwa can be reached in 30 minutes. be reached by tuktuk.
“We spent the 7th night of our happiest stay in Lanka, and the family stayed up and down to give us a very warm homestay experience. From the beginning of the thoughtful service to the end of the same as our loved ones, let us fully integrate into the entire family. Every day we see that we always smile... I like you very much... Grandma is often excited to let me taste the cakes she made by herself... The three brothers and sisters cut coconuts and juices from time to time... sent to us to drink... As soon as we see us, we will keep sending them, so that I will start to panic and get fat. During the leisure time after dinner, the three brothers and grandmother, we talked together on the balcony, laughing, singing and dancing... One night, the younger brother took us to the beach to catch the crabs, and returned to the grandmother to cook the crabs and bring them to us. On the last night, the three brothers and sisters said that they were very sad and sad because we were leaving, and Grandma was very sad... I would never forget ours. For me who came from a hotel and operated a homestay, I got a lot of insights here... I understand the meaning of sincere service.”
