Cottage holiday rentals in Barcarrota

We picked it up to escape the routine, and we were quite surprised by everything, both the house, and the place it was located (in the middle of the mountain), and the kindness of the hosts. It's a very cozy place and helps to disconnect a lot of things. We don't have any sticks, we'll be back!!

We went to the country house with friends and we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. The idea that the bedrooms are downstairs and the rest of the rooms in the house are upstairs seemed very good to us for those who wanted to rest. Everything was very clean and the house is as shown in the listing. Alejandro is very friendly and gave us perfect directions to get there and to the parking area, since it's a small town and not all the streets are suitable for parking. Besides, the village is beautiful. We will definitely be back !!!

The exceptional house and Paco de 10. In addition to the cleanliness and amenities of the house. It was tailored to our check-in time. Paco's welcome details for exceptional dinner and breakfast. The recommendations he gave us to visit the village would highlight the castle and the original cemetery. Our stay coincided with the Montanchez carnival that is really curious. She also showed us where to park in Cáceres and it came to us wonderfully.

Leo’s place is very convenient for big groups to see Alburquerque and surroundings. She’s very friendly and kind.

Lovely place with a stunning view all day long :). Pool was a bit cold when we were there (end of April) but that didn’t stop us from enjoying it. The house is very spacious and has everything you need for a tranquil experience in the countryside.

We enjoyed the beautiful house and view very much. Very stylishly decorated and really authentic. If you want peace and quiet it is the perfect place!

We have spent the end between friends and the truth that Maria's house has everything you need for both a long and short stay. Very well equipped. The only “pega” is that we were all adults and there is a room that is children, it is 4 bunk beds, if the adults are big as we were maybe it is something uncomfortable, but we already knew it from before.

Very quiet location, beautiful view of the valley. The neighbors are sheep, goats, dogs, a horse and a lot of parakeets. Very rural, in the morning you can first hear the roosters from the village, then the dogs, then the bells of the sheep and goats - very idyllic. The house is spacious, lovingly decorated and smells wonderful. The garden is very large, many seating options, especially beautiful is the detached lounge. Lots of beautiful plants, all very well maintained and solar-powered lamps and lights everywhere that spread a homely atmosphere in the evening. A majority of the garden is dry grass/dust, but that's everywhere after the summer and doesn't bother you. Lúcia and Carla (daughter) greeted us personally and were very nice. They also recommended the (only) village restaurant to us - we were there twice and it was really very good, cheap and warm. (You can watch football with the locals! ) Many attractions of the Alentejo are close by.

The place was great. The host was awesome! Very cool interior with brick. Location was excellent with views of the castle from the courtyard. Restaurants & square are literally right next to the place (30 second walk). The cave was just a few minutes on foot. Highly recommend this place. One of a kind!

The house is better than it appears on the pictures, with a great living room and a great table. Everything is decorated with pleasure. Carmen and her husband were very nice and made the stay very comfortable for us. They left us a rotisserie and a frying pan and a charcoal barbecue.

Comfort, cleanliness, tranquility and above all an ideal environment to disconnect from the world. Everything was very clean and there was no shortage of details.

Antonio's estate is located in a prime location, with amazing views. We could not enjoy it much because the weather did not accompany although we were able to throw some petanque games. The dogs loved all the space to throw some alleyways. Antonio is a very good host, he waited for us to guide us to the house, he left us a lot of firewood, charcoal for a barbecue (too bad we couldn't do it) and he quickly answered all the questions we raised during our stay. And he has put all the possible facilities to be able to recover a book that we left forgotten.

Lovely location! I was extremely happy because the beds were very comfortable. I loved the layout of the place as well. Very close to some awesome restaurants and many other great spots to visit in the area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the house. Claus was the perfect host. The house is probably the most comprehensively furnished we have stayed in (and we've stayed in over 40 rental homes). The kitchen comes fully equipped with all the utensils one could need. The area is very quiet and rural, exactly what we wanted when we made the reservation. The views are wonderful. Great for relaxing with a glass of wine at the end of the day. With that, it was very easy to get around and all the stores that one could want were found in the local town of Reguengos. Don't miss Monsaraz, less than 20 minutes by car. It is spectacular. Overall, don't hesitate to stay here!

Very comfortable house, spacious, clean, well located to be able to make exits and a large swimming pool. Very good deal with those in the house. Great for a family vacation. Recommended!!!

We spent a great few days on Monte da Oliveira! Our children had a lot of fun in the pool, which is undoubtedly an added value. The house is honest and comfortable, the living room is spacious and the kitchen has the necessary to prepare meals with ease. We ate comfortably on the porch, where we spent a lot of time. We greatly appreciate the isolation and privacy of the property, although it is only minutes away from the center of Arcos, where it is possible to buy fresh bread in the morning and also quite close to Estremoz, with good restaurants to enjoy the delights of Alentejana cuisine. We feel right at home!

A magnificent house to spend a few days with family and children. The house has everything you need and is very cozy. Inma is very friendly and helpful. The only drawback is that there is no coverage there, but otherwise everything is fine. I'm sure we'll be back.
