The Cuckoo's Nest Glamping Huts: Woody
This is one of two glamping huts at The Cuckoo’s Nest. Inspired by traditional Celtic roundhouses these little wooden huts are situated in the beautiful remote crofting township of Locheynort in the Isle of South Uist. Conveniently located approximately a mile from the main road linking the Isles of Eriskay, South Uist, Benbecula and North Uist, the huts offer an idyllic base from which to explore the islands, to pause whist travelling along the Hebridean Way, or to take a relaxing short break.

Cottage in Vatersay village
Our cottage is on the island of Vatersay which is joined to Barra by a causeway. We have three beautiful beaches within a 5 to 10 minute walking distance - Vatersay Beach which is great for swimming, the West Beach which has wonderful sunsets, and the South Beach which has views out across the southern uninhabited islands. There are great walks from the house, including one to the abandoned village of Eorisdale. The cottage is newly renovated and provides comfy living space.

Caravan On The Croft
2 bedroom caravan with gas central heating. Master bedroom has a Double size bed an en suite and plenty storage. Second bedroom consists of 2 single beds and storage. Main bathroom has a fully closed walk in shower. The Kitchen/living area is open plan with a large fridge freezer, gas cooker, microwave, kettle & toaster. The living area has a 32" smart tv with freeview, electric fire and 2 recliner sofas. The living room opens out on to a patio area via double patio doors.

Croisgeir Self Catering Pod
A self catering pod in a quiet area, five minute walk to the beautiful sandy beach on the west coast of South Uist. Close to the renowned golf course designed by old Tom Morris. Great for local Trout, Salmon & Sea Trout fishing and a great base for those who like hillwalking. Listen to the corncrake call from the outside picnic bench. Bicycles can be stored in the shed. Barra's Classic Campervan, 'Olive', offers a unique and unforgetable experience where you get to explore the idyllic Isle of Barra, all at your own pace! Olive is a 1979 VW T2 campervan and is in pristine condition, inside and out! Having recently undergone a slight cosmetic makeover, with new seating, flooring, fridge and table, Olive is just waiting to take you on an adventure! Do not worry, we've made sure to retain as much of her classic charm as possible.

Newly installed in 2021, the Cabin (often called a Storm Pod) is a self-contained luxury haven. Perched beside a small fresh-water loch and overlooking Loch Boisdale. It has a double bed, and a two small bunk type beds. Cooking facilities and a separate shower with WC. Outside there's a fenced courtyard with great Hebridean views for your enjoyment. Although there is sleeping for 4 available, the accommodation is more suited to couples or single occupancy.
