“Perfect wee spot right by the ocean for a quiet and very affordable break away, close to Portree for all the main shops and supplies if needed too. Great host that was a lot of help and also very generous with help and advice, well worth listening too. Would have already booked another trip if it wasn’t so far booked up lol, honestly didn’t want to leave. Great place”
A cosy, open-plan cabin for two on the Waternish peninsula, overlooking the sea with outstanding views across Loch Snizhort to the ferry port of Uig, and south to Raasay and the mainland. The Cabin is on a small croft/farm and lies within its own garden. It has a maritime theme, free wifi, plenty of books & maps.(see below for accommodation details) The Waternish peninsula offers abundant wildlife, and in the hamlet of Stein, next to the sea, a lovely old pub and a Michelin starred restaurant .
“Had such a lovely stay in the cabin. We loved it from the moment we arrived from the beautiful location to the design and warmth of the building. That feeling only improved as we spent more time in the cabin. It's been so well designed and everything has been thought of. Lots of helpful information in the binder about the cabin itself and the local area. We were torn between spending more time inside or exploring the island. Kathy was very prompt with information and responses after booking and Gareth was very friendly and helpful on checking in.”
Cosy, comfortable, peaceful wee hut for 2 on a family-run croft at the foot of the Quiraing. 15 minutes drive to Storr and Rubha Huinish walks and 30 minutes to Portree. Close by are 2 shops, 1 of which has fuel pumps. You'll have your own parking, private deck and shower room as well as tea&coffee making facilities and a well-stocked welcome pack for your first night but most importantly uninterrupted views over the bay to the mainland with only our sheep as neighbours.
“Can't say enough about how wonderful our stay here was - the location was remote enough to see the stars at night but still be a good base to visit all the attractions on the Isle of Skye. Emma ensured the Hut was cozy and inviting despite our late arrival and was attentive and communicative the entire time. It was wonderful waking up to the sheep outside and they also have the sweetest, friendliest cat. Would definitely stay here again!”
