Welcome to "Cabin on Swede Hill". Our family has farmed this land since 1871. My great grandparents, Swan and Johanna Johnson immigrated to America in the 1860's, found this land which was similar to Sweden. They raised their family here. Approximately 65 Swedish families settled in this community, became to be know as the "Swede Hills". We just received the Hoosier Homestead Award from Indiana celebrating the Sesquicentennial Award. Have fun with the whole family at this stylish place. No streets to cross to get to the lake. Use our dock to tie up your boat or just chill on the little beach, kayak, paddle board or canoe. Lakeside fun awaits. Inside you can gather for a movie with a super comfy couch, play a game at our enormous dining table or prepare dinner in the full kitchen. The beds are comfy with luxury linens. Great for girls trips, guys trips, multi family stays, families with kids people who like water & sand.

Modern house in the country with a reputation for sparkling cleanliness and 2 day minimums between guest stays. Close to Culver Academies (18 min/10 mi), Lake Maxinkuckee (13 min/7.4 mi), Lake Manitou (27 min/16 mi), and the historic Tippecanoe River (5 min/3.5 mi to Germany Bridge or 5 min/1.6 mi to Aubbeenaubbee Landing in Leiters Ford). We keep our prices low for 2 people, so please note that while we have space for up to 6 guests, each additional guest will incur small additional charges.

Spend your days enjoying the beach and other close attractions before heading back to cozy up by the fire pit (wood not provided). There is another bookable vacation rental on-site -- other renters may be downstairs.

The basement offers a game room with pool table & shuffle board, TV/Media Room, and a 4th bedroom. This home is the perfect spot for a private getaway, but close enough to local attractions.

Cozy Cottage on Bass Lake

Relax and play on an all sport lake. Host offers to guests a variety of bikes, paddle boards, kayaks, linking water floats, onsite parking, fire pit, yard games and board games. Guests are welcome to bring their own water toys, jet skies, and boats. We have parking for one trailer. Guests to bring own tie down systems as there is no space on the pier. We have a private ramp or there is access to a public ramp. We encourage guests to research Bass Lake. Owners live in the main house.

This charming three bedroom home in a quiet setting is the perfect place to catch some much needed R & R with family & friends. Park you boat at our private pier or just enjoy observing the wildlife, sunsets, etc. Observe the grace of great blue herons, mama ducks with their ducklings, and you may catch a glimpse of a bald eagle!
