Jimmy was an amazing host along with Cowboy, his horse. It was a private location very suitable for a romantic getaway. We made all our meals there. The kitchen was well equipped. Jimmy always made himself available for questions or concerns as well as giving us space and privacy. Thanks Jimmy

The Inn at the General Store was a great place! Our family of 4 adults, 2 teenage boys, and a toddler was very comfortable. We had more than enough space to relax. Our trip included a visit to China Peak for snowboarding, it was an easy drive to China Peak. We planned to have a very low-key, restful weekend away as a family and the space provided the right atmosphere for us to do just that. We were already familiar with the town of Big Creek so we knew it would offer what we were looking for. For travelers looking for a more remote, quiet atmosphere this is a great choice. The kitchen had all of the essential tools for our cooking needs. The whole house was decorated so cute and all the spaces were used really well! The beds were comfortable, the house was very clean, and the amount of natural sunshine was wonderful in the living room. The town as a whole is delightful. Friendly community. Emil & Stephanie were great hosts and very communicative and responsive.

Perfect place to stay after a grueling almost 0% visibility thick fog drive going down from Ahwahnee Hotel. The place felt very homey and has complete amenities down to the toiletries. The father commended the place and enjoyed himself a warm cup of coffee before we left the place.

Attention, solo hikers, who want to enjoy Yosemite. If you’re looking for a different kind of place to stay, this is it! It has a unique setting to it, and after a long day of hiking, it is very quiet. The host are super responsive if you have any questions.
