The decor is modern rustic and is intended to maximize comfort, spaciousness and functionality. The cabin is just under 900 square feet so you'll have plenty of space to unwind. Nestled between both premiere local ski resorts and a short drive to Big Bear Village, you’d be hard-pressed to feel more centrally located. Whether spending a long day on the slopes, local trails, golf course or lake, rest assured that you’ll come home to a cabin fitted with modern amenities that are designed to allow for a relaxing evening in front of the fireplace or outside under the stars making s’mores! Family friendly: Ye Modern Rustic is a family friendly cabin. In addition to our close proximity to the slopes, lake, hiking trails and the zoo, there's a large entertaining space in the living room. Have either the grown-ups or kids sample a movie from our expansive DVD and Blu Ray library (we have titles for all ages!). For the outdoor adventurer, have the kids venture outside to use their imagination in the converted playhouse located in our backyard (visible from the kitchen). The cabin is also equipped with a washer and dryer for life’s little accidents. Cooking: If a meal out on the town feels taxing, you'll have the flexibility the stay in and cook. Our kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, plates, glassware and utensils. If you're unsure about what we might have, ask us. In addition to our built-in stainless steel outdoor BBQ grill, we provide a coffeemaker, toaster, microwave, and refrigerator. Our gas stove allows you the ability to whip up a meal for the entire crew! Fireplace: The wood-burning fireplace is fully functional and will keep you warm on the coldest of nights. Grab some firewood from a local gas station or grocery store (you can find it just about anywhere), and enjoy an evening in front of the fire. Our cleaning staff will dispense with the ashes so no need to clean up! Bedrooms: The main bedroom contains a queen bed while the second bedroom sports a bunk bed with a twin mattress on top and a full mattress on the bottom. All mattresses are fitted with comfy sheets, linens and pillow cases. Our cleaning crew will wash bedding when you leave so no need to clean up. Both bedrooms come with ceiling fans, as well as empty closets and dressers that allow for ample storage on longer stays. Unpack and stay awhile! Bathroom: The shared bathroom has been tastefully updated with modern fixtures and new tile flooring. There is a timed ceiling heater to help get you through colder winter mornings. Fresh towels are available for all, in addition to an ample supply of toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Entertainment/WiFi: Our cabin is WiFi enabled so, in addition to choosing amongst our library of movie titles, our large HDTV/Blu Ray player is Netflix, HBOGo and Hulu capable (you will need to log in with your account). Classic board games (Monopoly, LIFE, Sorry!, Operation, Uno & more!) are available and allow for a fun night in with friends or family. Sample our collection of curated, vintage vinyl records while enjoying a night of games or cozy conversation by the fire. Spin some campfire tunes or grab our acoustic guitar and write your own! Backyard: Our yard contains a new, built-in 4 burner BBQ grill (grilling tools are available in the kitchen cabinets), in addition to a wooden swing and fire pit. Surround yourself with tall pine trees, make s’mores and relax with a quiet evening under the stars! Keep the kids busy with a play house furnished with a play kitchen and doctor play set. With our tabletop paper holder (we supply the drawing paper roll and markers), have them draw a nature-inspired masterpiece! Trash: Because of our location in the mountains and the local critters that live there, all trash must be taken with you to the Clean Bear Site at 41970 Garstin Dr, Big Bear Lake, CA 92315. Each bag of trash left on the property is subject to a $50 penalty/deduction from your security deposit. Dumping your trash anywhere else will forfeit your entire security deposit. Big Bear has a $1000 fine for littering, please keep our community clean and safe for the local wildlife. Pets: While we love dogs (and pets in general), we are currently a pet free cabin. Thanks in advance for your understanding. You have the whole cabin, deck, and yard to yourself. We also use a touch-pad, pin-code lock system instead of keys in order to make things easier and safer for our guests. We provide a rustic getaway with plenty of privacy. If there is a problem (or if you have questions), we are a simple phone call or text away. We’re here to help! We’ve also prepared a list of local recommendations to help you enjoy your stay in Big Bear to the fullest (located in the cabin)! The cabin is nestled among pines in the Moonridge neighborhood of Big Bear Lake. The Big Bear Alpine Zoo and Bear Mountain Ski Resort are a short drive away. Downtown’s eateries, shops, and waterfront attractions are 5-10 minutes away by car. Please note the maximum number of cars we can accommodate in our driveway is two. Parking on the street is not allowed after hours or during snow conditions. Printed parking permits are available in the cabin. Please see posted list of Rules & FYIs within the cabin.
