5 acres of lawns, gardens, and meadows and a gentle rocky beach on Blue Hill's Salt Pond, a protected inlet of the Atlantic Ocean. The house faces south towards the water and overlooks a gorgeous blueberry field that turns a majestic shade of deep red in the fall. Herrick House

Fabulous village location with lovely gardens and patio. Walk to restaurants, galleries, shops, library, wine shop/cafe. Entertain kids at the playground, enjoy Steel Band music on Monday evenings (seasonally) or swim at high tide in the warmer inner waters of Blue Hill Bay. Comfortable living for an individual or enough room for a family or up to 3 couples. Living room with 65″ flat screen Smart TV and pullout sofa. YMCA only minutes drive. Your well behaved pet is allowed for a $75 fee!

Lavender by the Sea

The Cottage rests over the end of Penobscot River as it opens into the Bay. The Cottage will comfortably accommodate two. The Cottage has a spacious bedroom, full kitchen, dining area, den and an all season porch with rockers. From Cottage there are views of the water and the lavender gardens. The gardens are terraced with a path down to the sea. The Carriage House Suite is available for an additional fee. it has has two bedrooms, a full bath and a sitting area. It can easily sleep four.

It's a very relaxing place close to lots of outdoor activities, shopping, and restaurants. It's good for couples, families or anyone who wants to just get away.

Shipbuilder's Home ON the Water

Built by John Cheever in the 19th Century, this unique space was used as his workshop as he constructed schooners on Conary Cove. Our home is completely surrounded by water; facing the peaceful and protected Conary Cove, and backed by the tranquil Mill Pond. Guests are welcome to use our private docks on both bodies of water. We have small water craft and grandpa is always happy to take guests out on his sailboats. The space is open yet cozy and highlights the craftsmanship of the era.

The house is located in Ellsworth Maine and although shops, restaurants, local lakes, Acadia National Park and area attractions are only a quick drive away, the home feels soothing, very safe, secluded and welcoming to all.
