We loved the place. We felt like we were at home. The house itself has got that welcoming feeling that when you’re inside you just wanna stay indoor. It was warm and cozy. We loved the scenery outside as well.

The Granary was the perfect place for me to leave work and stresses behind for a couple of days by myself. The location is so quiet and peaceful, with wide countryside views, you can't help but feel lighter stepping through the door. Kate is a fantastic host, everything is of a high standard and spotlessly clean. From lovely linens to quality ground coffee, homemade granola and eggs fresh from her chickens for breakfast, which is an extra charge and well worth it! To my surprise, Kate had also left me a delicious homemade gooseberry and blackcurrant fool in the fridge. A great addition to the left-overs I had brought from home for dinner my first night. Canterbury is just a short drive away. Using the park and ride scheme was simple and much easier than navigating the car parks in town. If you are looking for somewhere to spend a relaxing and peaceful time by yourself or with someone special, I'd highly recommend The Granary!

We spent a few days in the cottage and absolutely loved it. We really felt at home. Everything is provided for. Even games and colouring books for our kids. They loved the playhouse and their own private mezzanine with reading books (even Dutch ones!) The house is well situated, close to Canterbury and several beaches. Margate Dreamland was a blast for the kids. Would love to come back in the future!

Bryan and Katy were very hospitable - gave us tips on walking routes and good pubs nearby. Their garden is open to the cottage too, with lots of wild garlic and bluebells in the woods. The cottage is perfect, very cosy, comfy and private. Our dog loved it, he felt very much at home. The homemade bread and jam was a nice touch too.
