Holiday rentals with a patio in Boone County

Two of us in town for a memorial service and gathering of friends. The place was great-perfect size-two bedrooms worked for us perfectly-cute place. Minor point is a bathroom typical of these little homes, with a toilet literally right next to the tub/shower with only an inch or two to spare on the sides-made for some interesting "negotiating!" But as I said, this is minor. Shower great! Located in a great neighborhood, peaceful, safe to walk, close to a mall and restaurants etc. Be aware there is a basement tenant- took us by surprise but that was because we didn't read the description fully! They were super quiet and we barely knew anyone else was there. Their apartment is separate from the unit. Definitely recommend the place and Josh was quick to respond to any questions we had. Great front porch for sitting and watching the world, lots of windows, good linens and towels, extra blankets, easy on street parking., Keurig, so very quiet-we would rent again in a heartbeat....

Good stay near Drake University. Felt a bit uncertain of location while driving up, but turned out to be fine. Nice neighborhood park close for kids to play. Inside is clean and functional. Not a “wow” space, but a lot of comfy beds and Sheryl is a very responsive and friendly host.

We enjoyed our stay. The apartment was great for two people. It was clean and quiet and nicely decorated.

This was a great "home base" for college visits and offered the extra charm of a quaint old main square type of neighborhood. Everything was super easy and exactly as specified including the parking. It was our first visit to Ames (or Iowa at all!) and Anna's place made a great first impression!

The host was easy to communicate to and responded promptly when we had issues after checking in. She immediately sent somebody out to rectify the situation and we appreciated her response. The house was old and had a lot of character which we appreciated. We would definitely consider staying here again. Our dogs loved the fence in yard which we don’t have at home.

Everything about this place exceeded our needs - location, cleanliness and amenities; in addition to host being so friendly and responsive to any questions. We also enjoyed the "extra touch" of bottled water and candy that was available to us. We will definitely stay here again :-)

We had a beautiful Easter weekend at Menika’s place! She was super nice & helpful our entire stay & even checked in on us to make sure everything was going smoothly. The neighborhood itself is so nice & quiet. The home was clean, modern & very spacious. We had 6 people plus a child in our stay & there was plentyyyy of space for us all to hang out comfortably. We were even able to BBQ using the grill on the deck. I would 100% recommend staying here. I bet in the summer, this stay is an even better!

We had a great stay at this adorable cottage. If you appreciate architecture and the character of historic houses, you’ll really love this sweet home! The home was spacious enough for our group of 4 adults and communication was excellent. Of most importance…the house was VERY clean. We’d stay again!
