This is Lot #24 Enjoy this tiny home on the grounds at Borrego Holiday Homes! This is a cozy little spot that looks out onto the mountains at Anza-Borrego State Park.
“Loved being at this "tiny house." It was sparkling clean. The bed was super comfortable. Lots of hot water. Best of all, the views out. Lovely to watch the play of light and shadow on the mountains. And, as an extra bonus, the ability to walk right out onto the desert to see what can be discovered. It is perfectly located for access to hiking trailheads in Anza Borrego State Park while also being close enough to town for dinner out if you so desire. The full kitchen, however, makes it just as convenient to eat at home. I will happily stay here on all future trips. The host was thoughtful, kind and responsive.”

“I came out with a friend for a girl’s retreat. Cactus & Stars was the perfect place to relax and reset. Matt & Aubyn provided the perfect outdoor spaces to write, meditate, read, and gaze at the stars. The first night we sat around the mid-century fireplace in the front yard and gazed at the stars. The next morning we watched the sunrise from the backyard. We ate breakfast at the wood slab dining table in the front yard and had a mid-morning yoga session by the palo verde tree. This house is immaculate and the details are wonderful. The kitchen is well appointed and provides you with all that you need to make meals during your stay. There is a bocce ball court, horseshoe pit, and outdoor Jenga. If you feel like playing poker, putting together a puzzle, reading a book, or scorpion hunting they have what you need. I highly recommend scorpion hunting with the scorpion flashlights at night. They also have a telescope for stargazing. I absolutely love this property. I can't wait for my next visit.”
Safe, clean and relaxing get away in trying times. The casita is private, set apart from the main house. The property is remote enough to see the Milky Way and experience absolute quiet, yet a short drive to trails. Close enough for food pickup from a variety of restaurants. Small kitchenette for light cooking,coffee/tea. Private patio. No TV, but a good WiFi signal. The main house is an art studio/owner’s home. We are detail cleaning all surfaces and linens with disinfectant for your safety.
“This place is a little gem remotely located on a dirt road in the middle of the beautiful Borrego desert. It is remote, comfortable, clean and very private. There is no T.V. so bring some music or a book unless you enjoy the sounds of nothing but the desert...which we did. We brought our own ground coffee which was a lifesaver since there was none in the room. Although given the time we went with this crazy viral empidemic, that could very easily have been why. The bathroom was clean with lots of hot water. The bed was comfortable and the space was very clean. Overall this place is a great little hideaway. The views are spectacular and Carolanne was great with directions, tips and messaging us to make sure we were doing ok. Overall this was a great experience, even during this time of uncertainty. We really appreciated the chance to decompress and relax.”
