Holiday rentals with lake access in Bovey Tracey

We had a wonderful stay at Bridesmere over New Year and it was just what we needed. Peaceful, beautiful area, lovely comfortable home from home. We appreciated the enclosed garden for our spaniel, the beautiful and spacious bedrooms and the living area which was large enough for all 7 of us, two families. WiFi was strong upstairs so no issue with all of us connected and the tv had all apps we needed to watch films with no buffering. There is a beautiful walk through the forest along the river just minutes from the house which leads to a very nice pub serving good food. As other reviews mention, the kids room smells a little musty/damp but this was not a huge issue and we opened the bathroom window after showering which helped. Kitchen well stocked but knives are a little blunt! Children loved the games barn and not having to bring bikes with us was really helpful and appreciated. Overall we couldn’t have asked for a nicer stay and we would definitely return. Thank you for having us.

Always love staying at Andrews, the property is so homely, spotlessly clean with great facilities. Love the daffodils Nicola left, the garden is a picture all throughout the year onto stunning views, just lovely!

We had an amazing stay! The house was massive and so spacious and had everything you would need - a really good deal for the price! And having a parking space was a bonus. Thank you so much - we’d definitely stay again.

Felt like home away from home and we had a wonderful stay. Natalie was super responsive and accommodated and early check in too. There were tea bags etc in the house which is always great. Everything was clean and tidy and we wished we could have stayed longer. Used the hot tub a few times (though you do have to walk out the front door into the street to get to the back garden which was a laugh in our swimwear). A great location right on the lake and beach. There is a cafe and a local pub, but we wished there were a few more options within walking distance. Would highly recommend and will perhaps visit again one day.

An absolutely awesome place to stay at great value! As soon as the door was opened it could be seen that the place is well looked after to a high standard. Located in a very peaceful location, you can almost hear the silence - great if you want to get away from the city and have some time out from every day life. The juxtaposition of the house, the sea, the woods, brilliant walking routes, breathtaking views and more is something to behold. An easy drive into the bigger towns from the house and the dedicated parking space made life very easy! The corner shop is just a few doors down and was handy for those forgotten bits and pieces. What a comfortable place! It was really well appointed and had everything we needed. Plenty of storage and well equipped kitchen. Wendy is very friendly and helpful too. I especially liked the eco friendly shampoo and conditioner provided (the bottles can be refilled too) and the availability of a compost pot for food waste. We really could have stayed a month if we did not have to get back. The view over the estuary from the bedroom is beautiful and constantly changing with the tide, light and weather. The place is really quiet too, I was concerned that there might be road noise from the nearby bridge but there was remarkably little even when outside the property and none at all inside

Just a long weekend stay but the apartment was great. Amazing views up and down the estuary and across to field of sheep opposite. It was very relaxing watching the boats go by and with plenty of space for 7 of us and a dog. Nice to have dedicated parking spaces too. I must bring my paddle board next time!

Badgers House was the perfect venue and location for a large family break. House was well equipped and comfortably furnished. The indoor pool proved a knockout with the children - especially as the weather wasn’t great! The indoor games room was a hit for the male adults, who enjoyed hours of pool, and they hit the gym too. The woodland walk was perfect, we spotted a male deer, the children loved it! Hide and seek in the house was so exciting and kept the little ones entertained for hours! Thank you to Max and Alex for being superb hosts and giving us this beautiful home and setting to enjoy. Our granddaughter broke her heart to have to leave! We will definitely be returning and may need Toad Hall next time for more family members to come along and enjoy the beauty of this peaceful place.

Great place to stay and it’s not the first time we have stayed with Zeneta. The properties have always been clean and well presented with little extras to make it homely. Only thing I could mention are the parking permits. They are only for your stay at the property and not day passes as we thought when purchasing a day pass. Other than that it’s was a pleasure to stay again and can’t wait to use Zeneta again.

Jo and Graham are great hosts. My dog and I felt welcome immediately. Very good amenities and beautiful surroundings. They went above and beyond for me.

We stayed in the apartment for three days and it was as described. Margaret responded quickly and was very friendly and helpful. The house is in a quiet residential area. The beaches are within easy walking distance. The only thing was that the separate washing or drying room smelled very musty.

Great property, easy to find and perfect for a 1-2 guests. Jane was friendly and easy to contact. Parking right outside which was a huge plus for us. There was an extra internal door which we assume would link directly to Jane’s property or another airbnb which was locked - this wasn’t listed however, the property still felt secure. Just something for guests to be aware of. Thanks for a great stay - would recommend for anyone wanting to be in close proximity to Newton Abbot.

I booked this accommodation for my friends on NYE so I didn’t have a lot of interaction with Cherilyn but from what I heard, my friends could not have been happier. She was a delightful host, very welcoming and easy to communicate with and they had a lovely stay. Thank you Cherilyn x

Spacious yet cosy apartment. me and my partner enjoyed our stay here, amazing scenery and close to local amenities. would stay here again. the place was tidy, comfortable and we felt at home.

Beautiful flat ideally situated on Torquay cliffs - which means a fun 5-minute hike up and down the paths for the beach. The flat is decorated with nautical theme and is super comfortable, quiet, peaceful. We had everything we needed from soaps and dishwasher tabs to towels and gowns. Would stay here again.

This is a perfect home from home equipped with everything you need including all of the basic essentials like tea, coffee, spices , cleaning and laundry stuff Host was very responsive and shared information in a very timely manner

Fantastic little cottage for our family break away. I even asked for our stay to be extended on short notice (a week or 2 before we were due to arrive) and Eva & Richard were able to accommodate this. I'm glad I did as the cottage was so lovely, perfect location with the beach, the lake and lots of beautiful walks at the doorstep. The little fire stove was so nice when coming back from a cold, refreshing walk.

What a great place. So cosy and homely feeling. Everything we needed to settle in straight away for our little break. Would definitely recommend 😍!

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. We were attending an event at HMS Raleigh, so the cottage was ideally situated for our needs. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area, that is not more than a few minutes away. The cottage had everything we needed as we did a mixture of eating in and out. Jess was extremely responsive and gave lots of local suggestions of things to do and places to eat. I highly recommend this cottage.

Had a fabulous stay at Olivia’s Orchard cottage. Lots to do with farm animals around, Games room, outdoor games and lots of walks to relax and unwind at the property. Property was in proximity to Plymouth and Looe and found it very convenient to explore by car from here.

Our second stay at the Hayloft and won't be our last. Gorgeous place set in beautiful grounds. Cute animals and we were excited to see Kitty, one of the kittens we met on our last visit. Very safe for our 10 year old son to explore independently, whilst taking photos of the animals. Owners friendly and informative. See you next time 😊

An absolutely wonderful stay at Dairy Cottage. From brilliant and beautiful surroundings to the nicest hosts in Debbie and John. The cupcakes on arrival were amazing and the cottage so cosy and comfy. Had a wonderful time and both of the hosts were so helpful and the walks me and my dogs went on were wonderful! Highly recommend and thank you for having us!
